Overview

Do you love coffee and enjoy bringing brands to life through digital storytelling and retail experiences, and events? Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Community and Content Manager supports the execution of Sightglass Coffee’s g, social media, retail marketing, and event initiatives. This role is highly collaborative and execution-focused, playing a key part in delivering cohesive brand experiences across online and in-person touchpoints. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and energized by seeing ideas come to life in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of Sightglass’ digital content and social media strategy, ensuring consistent brand voice, visual identity, and storytelling across platforms.
  • Create, publish, and manage social content, including posts, stories, short-form video, and campaign assets.
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement across social channels, responding to comments and messages in a timely, brand-aligned manner.
  • Track and analyze social performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize engagement, reach, and growth.
  • Coordinate gifted influencer partnerships and content collaborations, including outreach, product fulfillment, and content tracking.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns that connect digital, retail, eCommerce, wholesale, and events, ensuring cohesive execution across all touchpoints.
  • Execute retail-facing marketing initiatives including menus (print and digital), in-store signage, app and loyalty content, and Toast email campaigns.
  • Support planning and execution of brand events, pop-ups, store openings, festivals, and industry events.
  • Partner with internal teams to capture and produce content in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and at key brand moments.
  • Support monthly coffee launches with engaging storytelling content.
  • Serve as a marketing partner for coffee community initiatives, competitions, education moments, and industry events.
  • Support events and partnerships that extend Sightglass’ presence into the broader community.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Expertise in brand storytelling, with a strong ability to craft compelling messaging that resonates with diverse consumer segments.
  • A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with marketing trends, social media, and emerging technologies.
  • Passion for coffee and engagement in the specialty coffee industry.
  • 2-3 years of marketing or communications experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably within retail, CPG, or food service.
  • Proven ability to create and execute integrated marketing campaigns across multiple touchpoints (social media, digital ads, email, in-store promotions, etc.). Includes shooting and editing both photography and video content.
  • Comfortable using marketing analytics tools to derive insights and optimize campaigns (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you love crafting stories that connect with people.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and social native editing apps

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to maneuver effectively around the San Francisco or Los Angeles office location, including up and down stairs.
  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers for computer operation
  • Ability to sit; talk on phone, for long periods of time
