ABOUT THE ROLE
Global Growth PMO has the ownership & accountability for execution of the Growth Strategy for Tenneco, covers Clean Air, Powertrain, Industrial, Ignition, as well as Performance Solution. This role will also be responsible for global market intelligence, as well as support in product line management and new product/market research activities. This role will report to the Chief Growth Officer.
Key responsibilities:
- Leads the coordination and facilitation of global growth strategy; drives overall strategy, process, execution and related activities across all regions for Clean Air, Powertrain, Industrial, Ignition, and Performance Solution BU’s.
- Standardizes and aligns growth tracking and review processes globally. Works closely with regional growth leaders to execute growth initiatives, monitor progress, and raise escalation where necessary.
- Actively supports growth activities globally and cross-region initiatives to provide supports and guidance.
- Facilitates growth strategy development as well as growth target settings. Ensures alignment with regions, BU’s while working with the broader teams to action plans and steps to deliver growth targets.
- Reports out monthly status to targets to Executive Leadership. Chairs growth reviews globally and establishes a cadence necessary to attain growth targets.
- Lead global efforts on market intelligence, actively promotes market and customer VOC feedback to shape recommendations for business growth, technical portfolio and product roadmaps
- Supports Tenneco’s mergers and acquisition (M&A) process and activities. Provides relevant market data and intelligence, conducts appropriate research, develops inputs necessary.
- Actively monitors market and competition development, provides timely reports and updates to functional and regional leadership team.
- Supports in product roadmap development, identifying opportunities for new technologies, new products, and/or new applications.
Skills and capabilities (leadership and/or functional):
- Bachelor’s degree required, technical/engineering background preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred (Engineering or MBA) with strong capabilities to absorb technical information.
Qualifications/ certifications:
- At least 8-10 years working experience in automotive industry in program management, engineering, business intelligence, business strategy development or related functions
- Experience in management of complex, large-scale programs
- Product/Product line management experience highly preferred
- Capability and experience working with global structures / all regions
- Ability to build networks internally and externally
- Ability to drive and influence team members with the mindset of no excuses, target attainment. Passionate and team influencer capable of driving change and delivering targets
- Solid target setting, data analytics and leadership
- Strong communication, presentation skills and an executive presence
