Job Responsibilities

As an Education and Events Planner Manager in the sewing industry, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing educational programs, workshops, and events that enrich the sewing community's knowledge and engagement. Your role will involve strategic planning, collaboration with industry experts, and ensuring seamless event execution. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Program and Event Strategy:

· Develop a comprehensive strategy for educational programs and events that align with the company's mission, target audience, and business goals.

· Identify key themes, topics, and formats that cater to the needs and interests of the sewing community.

2. Event Planning and Execution:

· Plan, organize, and oversee various sewing-related events, including workshops, seminars, webinars, conferences, and sewing retreats.

· Coordinate event logistics, such as venue selection, budget management, scheduling, catering, audiovisual setup, and attendee registration.

3. Content Development:

· Collaborate with sewing industry experts, instructors, and influencers to develop high-quality and engaging educational content for workshops and events.

· Create and curate instructional materials, presentations, handouts, and resources for participants.

4. Participant Engagement:

· Facilitate interactive and informative sessions that encourage participant engagement, learning, and networking.

· Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where attendees can share experiences and ideas.

5. Logistics Management:

· Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including transportation, accommodations, equipment rental, and attendee materials.

· Ensure smooth event operations and troubleshoot any issues that arise during events.

6. Vendor and Sponsor Relationships:

· Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and sponsors relevant to the sewing industry.

· Negotiate contracts and agreements for services, products, and financial support for events.

7. Feedback Collection and Analysis:

· Gather feedback from students to assess the effectiveness of educational programs and events.

· Analyze feedback to make improvements and adjustments for future events.

8. Budget Oversight:

· Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and revenue to ensure events are financially viable.

· Seek cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality event experiences.

9. Collaboration and Team Management:

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, inventory, and customer support, to align event efforts with overall company objectives.

· Supervise and lead a team of educators, assistants, and volunteers, delegating tasks and ensuring everyone works efficiently.

10. Industry Research:

· Stay updated on trends, innovations, and developments in both the sewing industry and event planning to offer unique and relevant experiences.

11. Compliance and Logistics:

· Ensure all events comply with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and accessibility requirements.

Your role as an Education and Events Planner Manager will contribute to the growth and enrichment of the sewing community by providing valuable educational experiences and fostering connections within the industry. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
