Brand Activator Job Summary

WasteNot is seeking Event Brand Activators with a passion for interaction, love of sales and winning, and an eagerness to connect with the public.

Activators are expected and must have availability to work every Saturday and Sunday from April to October of 2026.

In this role, you will serve as the face and voice of our company to educate attendees about our mission and services. You will also be responsible for closing sales, finalizing transactions, and providing exceptional customer service. You must have a professional demeanor at all times.

Brand Activator Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively interact with potential customers to drive sales.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the brand's products/services and answer any questions from potential and existing customers.
• Represent the brand in a positive and professional manner at farmers markets, events, trade shows, and other promotional activities.
• Distribute promotional materials to attract interest and communicate the brand's message, mission, and offerings.
• Assist with the setup and tear-down of product displays (folding table, tent, tent weights, compost carts).
• Provide feedback to the marketing and product departments regarding customers' insights and questions.
• Collaborate with the sales & outreach team to develop innovative strategies for brand promotion and customer engagement.
• Capture photos & videos to be used by our marketing team.
• Be familiar with and able to articulate what distinguishes WasteNot from other companies. Be able to articulate the same message to the 1,000th customer with the same care & enthusiasm as the first customer.

Brand Activator Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid drivers license and a clean driving record required.
• MUST be available every Saturday and Sunday during the day and in the evenings to accommodate events from April 2026 to the end of October 2026.
• Willingness and proficiency to drive large company-issued vehicles.
• Ability to lift ~50 pounds and work outside in inclement weather (heat, snow, rain, etc.).
• Ability to work and close sales independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in marketing or related field is a plus.
• Previous work experience as a Brand Ambassador, promoter, influencer or another similar role.
• Previous experience in food service or retail environments is highly desirable, demonstrating comfort in fast-paced customer interactions.
• Engaging, outgoing, approachable personality with the ability to connect with diverse and distracted audiences.
• Exhibit passion for your local community, an eye for detail, a willingness to be on your feet and talking (a lot), stamina (to be in all weather & service a lot of people), and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from headquarters, frequently very early in the morning.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
