Weekend Office Assistant & Marketing Intern (Seasonal, Part-Time)

Harborside Marina is seeking a dependable, organized, and creative part-time team member for a hybrid role combining weekend office support with hands-on marketing experience supporting our seasonal waterfront restaurant.
This position is ideal for a college student or recent graduate interested in gaining real-world experience in social media marketing, event promotion, and business operations. The role offers meaningful ownership of marketing initiatives, including content creation, influencer collaborations, and seasonal promotions, providing valuable resume/portfolio-building experience. Internship credit may be available if applicable.
Responsibilities:
Weekend Marina Operations & Office Support (On-Site – Required)
- Assist with weekend quick-launch and marina customer coordination, helping ensure smooth launch and retrieval operations
- Greet customers, boaters, and guests and direct them to the appropriate departments
- Support the sales team with basic showroom hospitality and customer assistance
- Answer phones and relay messages during busy weekend hours
- Process payments and assist with light administrative tasks
- Help maintain a clean, welcoming front desk and office environment
Seasonal Restaurant Marketing Ownership (Remote + On-Site)
- Plan, schedule, and manage social media content across platforms
- Capture photo and video content throughout the season
- Coordinate influencer collaborations, giveaways, and promotions
- Plan and promote live music nights, specials, and seasonal events
- Maintain website updates including hours, menus, and event listings
- Develop and execute creative marketing ideas with a high level of independence
Schedule:
- Must be available most Saturdays and Sundays May- October (primary requirement)
- Opportunity for 1–2 flexible weekday shifts
- Limited remote work available for marketing tasks (especially Sundays)
- Seasonal role with potential for continued opportunities
Qualifications:
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced customer environment
- Interest in marketing, hospitality, communications, or business
- Familiarity with social media platforms; Canva or content creation experience is a plus
- Comfortable taking initiative and managing projects with guidance when needed
