The Community Center for the Performing Arts is the nonprofit organization that owns and operates the historic, iconic WOW Hall in downtown Eugene. Since saving the building from demolition in 1975, CCPA has operated the Hall as a safe and friendly meeting space for the community, a place for the appreciation of the arts for all ages and income levels, and a training ground for new generations. Local, regional, national, and international acts frequently grace the WOW Hall. The Hall is particularly known for its amazing dance floor, one of only three “floating” floors in Oregon. For decades, the WOW Hall has featured diverse performances and offered community space for classes, workshops, lectures, meetings, rehearsals, recording sessions, and events.
MARKETING COORDINATOR | Part-time | Reports to Director of Operations
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in all general aspects of the W.O.W. Hall’s marketing efforts. This position provides support in creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive performing arts venue and event marketing that expands the organization’s visibility, enhances its public image, and increases its sales and audience base. This position directly supports revenue generation and development for the Community Center for the Performing Arts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Support
- Execute basic marketing plans for all WOW Hall shows and events
- Coordinate announcements and promo materials with artist teams and promoters
- Monitor ticket sales and activate promotional actions based on benchmark-driven strategy
- Social Media & Content Scheduling
- Schedule and post across WOW Hall’s social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok)
- Maintain consistent branding using provided assets or templates
2. Email & Website Updates
- Build and send Weekly announcements and newsletters via Hive
- Keep the website calendar and event pages current
3. Press & Promotions
- Distribute press releases for key shows
- Coordinate community promo efforts (radio spots, street team, influencers) as needed
- List shows and events across all community calendars
4. Reporting & Tools
- Track ticket sales using internal dashboards
- Assist with implementing Meta Pixel on ticket links and website
The coordinator may also be tasked with other responsibilities as needed and able, including supporting WOW Hall marketing for rental use; fundraising and membership marketing initiatives; merchandizing; media relations; photo/video capture, editing, and archival management; and other related projects.
This position has growth potential, depending on the increase over time of our earned and philanthropic income (which depend in part on the Coordinator’s success.)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in event promotion or venue marketing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
- Familiarity and/or Experience with:
- Meta Business Suite, Social Network platforms including Tik Tok, Instagram, Youtube, threads and Twitter (X)
- Google Ads
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Canva
- Wordpress or similar website CMS
- Hive, Mail Chimp, or similar email/SMS marketing platform
