Amplified Digital, a division of Lee Enterprises, is seeking a highly creative, performance-driven Social Media & Community Manager who lives and breathes social media. This is not a “just post and schedule” role — this person will own social strategy, content creation, video editing, on-camera presence, and community engagement across multiple healthcare brands. You should be obsessed with trends, deeply fluent in short-form video, confident behind and in front of the camera, and excited to build culture, spark conversation, and create content that performs.
This is a remote role; however, candidates must live in Illinois or Northwest Indiana, have their own vehicle, and be willing to drive regularly to clinic locations and community events across IL and Northwest Indiana to film content and capture on-site social media. This position pays $65,000 to $75,000 annually.
What You’ll Do
Social Strategy & Content Creation
- Own and execute social media across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
- Plan and manage content calendars and posting schedules
- Take content from idea → storyboard → filming → editing → posting → reporting
- Create high-volume, high-quality short-form and long-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)
- Write compelling captions, hooks, and hashtag strategies
- Track performance and report insights using analytics tools
Video & Creative Execution
- Film with both phone and DSLR
- Edit high-performing, thumb-stopping videos using tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, After Effects, Canva, etc.
- Stay ahead of trends, audio, editing styles, and algorithm changes
- Continuously test new formats and creative approaches
On-Camera & Field Content
- Act as on-camera talent when needed
- Confidently interview doctors, staff, patients (when appropriate), and community members
- Travel to clinic locations and events across Illinois and Northwest Indiana to capture content
- Film content featuring yourself in different environments
Reputation Management
- Own reputation management across Google, Yelp, Apple Maps, and other platforms
- Monitor, respond to, QA, and escalate reviews
- Identify review trends and surface insights
Community Engagement & Events
- Identify relevant community events
- Support tabling and in-person activations
- Capture live social content at events
- Act as a brand ambassador
Team Collaboration & Campaign Ideation
- Brainstorm viral content, challenges, and campaigns
- Support ad creative ideation and mockups
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and strategy teams
- Provide ad-hoc support across the marketing team
Who You Are
- Wildly passionate about social media and creator culture
- Always ahead of trends, formats, and platform updates
- Proactive, scrappy, and resourceful
- Confident and energetic on camera
- Comfortable working fast with minimal hand-holding
- Able to balance creativity, performance, and compliance in healthcare
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in social media content creation and video editing
- Proven track record of viral or high-performing content
- Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
- Strong editing skills using CapCut, Canva, and similar tools
- Experience managing online reputation and reviews
- Strong storytelling and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel locally across IL and Northwest Indiana
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Final candidates will be asked to submit work samples showcasing content creation and editing skills.
