Position Description
he Emerging Talent Program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders in professional sports. Our mission is to attract top, early-career talent and provide meaningful, hands-on experience within the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization.
Participants do more than observe; they contribute. Interns gain real-world experience, insider access, and a comprehensive understanding of how a professional football organization operates. The program is intentionally structured to help participants build upon their academic foundation while defining clear, career-focused goals.
Each intern is placed within a specific department while also being encouraged to explore the broader business of football through networking opportunities, a Capstone Project, and our Internship Learning Series. Throughout the program, interns collaborate with team executives and build professional relationships that extend well beyond their internship experience.
This is a paid, hourly internship running from July 13, 2026, through June 25, 2027.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll be a hands-on contributor within the Brand & Fan Engagement team, supporting the planning and execution of marketing campaigns that come to life across Tampa Bay and on gamedays. This role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of brand work, from concept to execution to recap, with opportunities to build experience across brand, merchandise, fan engagement, and creator partnerships.
Essential Functions
- Brand Marketing & Visual Identity
- Support the development and execution of brand marketing campaigns across key programs and initiatives.
- Assist with the implementation of the annual marketing activation plan for assigned programs, focused on fan growth and elevating the overall fan experience.
- Help bring branding activations to life across events, community moments, and gameday.
- Support the execution of the Club’s visual identity across physical environments, including stadium signage, wayfinding, banners, and other in-venue brand touchpoints.
- Assist with brand consistency checks across creative assets and on-site executions.
- Merchandise & Promotional Strategy
- Support merchandise moments tied to campaigns, drops, and key calendar milestones.
- Assist with planning, ordering, and managing promotional items and giveaways year-round, ensuring alignment with campaign goals, budgets, and brand standards.
- Help coordinate merchandise logistics for events, activations, and community initiatives.
- Fan Engagement & Community
- Support local outreach and fan engagement initiatives through research, planning, and activation support.
- Assist with the campaign management of the Jr. Bucs fan club alongside the Fan Engagement Coordinator, contributing to youth fanbase growth initiatives.
- Coordinate the execution and fulfillment of team contests, giveaways, and prizing.
- Creators & Influencer Partnerships
- Support the coordination of creator and influencer partnerships, including outreach, scheduling, logistics, and execution support.
- Reporting & Operations
- Collect and organize campaign data, helping turn results into recaps, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Support operational needs including budget tracking, invoice processing, and administrative coordination that keeps campaigns moving forward.

- Logistics & Availability: Available for a minimum of 40 hours per week (including nights/weekends as required by the season schedule) with reliable housing and transportation in Tampa.
- Physical Execution: Comfortable with the 'hands-on' physical requirements of event activation, including on-site setup and merchandise logistics.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree completed, preferably in Marketing or Business
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in brand marketing, event activation, or promotional strategy (internships or full-time roles)
- Previous experience in sports or live entertainment environments preferred, demonstrating an understanding of the unique demands of a fast-paced seasonal, event-driven industry
Technical Knowledge
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or comparable tools
Work Environment
Extended evening, weekend work hours sometimes required
Required to work all home and some away games
Must be comfortable working in a high intensity setting, meeting tight deadlines and delivering quality results
Physical Fitness Standards
Computer and desk work a significant part of daily activities
