Join the Zappos Brand Activations & Partnerships team as an intern and help bring the Zappos brand to life through grassroots community engagement, influencer partnerships, and experiential marketing. This internship offers hands-on experience in building authentic connections with running communities, managing social media content, and supporting large-scale brand activations including marathon events, run club partnerships, and ambassador programs. You'll work alongside a dynamic team that's redefining how Zappos shows up in the performance running space, gaining exposure to partnership strategy, event execution, and community-driven marketing.
Key job responsibilities
Support the planning and execution of grassroots run club activations and community running events across key markets
Help coordinate logistics for field activations, including marathon pop-ups and regional brand representative programs
Research and identify potential brand partnership opportunities and influencer collaboration prospects
Track and report on activation performance metrics, social engagement, and community feedback
Assist with creating presentation materials and partnership decks for brand collaborations
Coordinate swag, demos, and promotional materials for on-site activations
A day in the life
You might spend time researching running communities in target regions or helping prepare materials for an upcoming marathon activation. You'll collaborate with team members on partnership proposals, attend planning meetings for field ambassador programs, and support real-time event execution both virtually and potentially on-site. Your work directly impacts how runners and fitness enthusiasts experience the Zappos brand in their communities.
About the team
The Zappos Brand Activations & Partnerships team is passionate about building authentic connections within the running and fitness communities. We manage grassroots initiatives including run club partnerships, field ambassador programs, marathon activations, and influencer collaborations. We value creativity, hustle, and genuine passion for both footwear and community building. Basic Qualifications
- Experience in computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Currently working towards a bachelor's degree in marketing or related field with an expected conferral date between December 2026 and May 2027
- Work, internship, or other leadership experience in a professional environment
- Familiarity and interest in event production, performance footwear and gear and fashion trends
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic HTML, Photoshop, SQL, Excel and Marketing Analytics
- Experience in digital marketing
- Experience in making data driven business decisions
