Overview
Are you an experienced social media strategist with a deep understanding of digital engagement? Esri is seeking a Social Media Lead with experience in developing, leading, and evaluating Employee Advocacy programs that drive brand awareness and enhance community engagement. In this role, you will oversee the execution of high-impact campaigns, analyze performance metrics at a strategic level, and contribute to the evolution of Esri's digital presence. Responsibilities
- Define and execute social media strategy. Design and execute comprehensive social media strategies with leadership that align with business objectives. Provide guidance on best practices and innovative approaches to enhance engagement and visibility.
- Drive high-impact campaigns. Lead the execution and performance evaluation of large-scale, multi-channel social media campaigns. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate campaigns into broader marketing initiatives.
- Elevate content strategy. Develop compelling, high-quality content that engages diverse audiences. Ensure content aligns with brand positioning, industry trends, and user expectations. Provide strategic insights to ensure messaging aligns with Esri's brand identity and marketing goals.
- Analyze and optimize performance. Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop advanced reporting methods to assess impact. Leverage analytics tools to provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement. Leverage data insights to refine strategy and maximize engagement, conversion, and brand loyalty.
- Communicate and Collaborate. Partner with marketing, product, and other teams to align social media efforts with Esri's corporate vision. Provide insights and strategic recommendations to drive brand growth. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to elevate social media execution. Share expertise across Esri to increase understanding of social media strategy and best practices.
- Stay ahead of trends. Maintain expertise in the latest social media trends, tools, and emerging platforms. Experiment with new formats and techniques to drive engagement and position Esri's social content as a leader in digital engagement.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in social media strategy, with demonstrated experience building successful employee advocacy programs
- Proven expertise in leading large-scale social media initiatives and brand campaigns
- Strong analytical skills with experience in performance measurement, optimization, and reporting
- Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, and audience engagement
- Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and emerging technologies
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field
- Occasional travel may be required (up to ~20%); travel needs may vary based on business requirements

Recommended Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience using Sprout Social for employee advocacy
- Experience working with executive stakeholders and presenting strategic recommendations
- Strong background in paid media strategy, influencer marketing, and audience segmentation
- Passion for technology and expertise in GIS and location intelligence
- Master's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field
