POSITION SUMMARY:
The Managing Director, Private Capital position will be primarily responsible for sourcing, developing and maintaining relationships with family offices and ultra-high net worth capital sources and partnering with registered representatives from the Realberry investor relations team in connection with capital raises from these sources. Secondary functions will include working closely with the Realberry Executive Committee and providing thought leadership around other capital raising initiatives, including GP Funds, Closed-End and Open-Ended Funds, Separately Managed Accounts (“SMA”), and Co-Investment opportunities for discrete real estate investments across the United States. This position will be responsible for growing the family office and ultra-high net worth client base in the United States and globally. This is a senior-level position with at least 15 years of experience in real estate, relationship management, capital markets and fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leveraging off of Realberry’s existing platform, expand and develop the investor framework and strategy around growing the Company’s family office and ultra-high net worth capital strategy
- Primary responsible for expanding existing and developing new family office and ultra-high net worth relationships that will help capitalize a portion of Realberry’s annual $1bn + capitalization plan
- Together with the COO and existing Investor Relations Team, continue to investigate, design, and implement scaled infrastructure for the investor relations function, incorporating the family office and ultra-high net worth expansion
- Develop a strong understanding of Realberry’s brand, track record, and pipeline, and demonstrate the ability to speak to current and potential investors about the Company and its projects
- Support or assume responsibility for management of certain existing investor relationships currently managed by CEO and Vice Chairman
- Taking into account future Company growth, develop framework for expansion strategy of the family office and ultra-high net worth vertical that includes additional promotors in major U.S. markets and potentially internationally that will ultimately be managed by the Managing Director.
- Support CFO and CIO in structuring and implementation of various real estate funds, SMA’s and co-investment vehicles
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, key strategic partners, and clients. Develop specific client-relations programs
- Establish professional network and maintain contacts and records of activity in the Company’s CRM (HubSpot)
- In coordination with CEO, COO and VP of Investor Relations, determine plans for Company presence at conventions, annual meetings, industry events, seminars and other speaking opportunities
- In coordination with the SVP of Marketing, develop and recommend brand positioning for family office and ultra-high net worth capital, including assisting with the creation of marketing materials needed for relationship building
- Assist with the development of reporting processes that provide investor updates, quarterly reports, and tax statements at scale to exceed family office and ultra-high net worth investor expectations
- Report investor insights, prospect and market insights that provide critical data to evolve deal pipeline parameters to meet investor demand, optimize lead generation initiatives, and contribute to the creation and optimization of marketing materials and campaigns that enhance sales effectiveness
- Work with Legal to ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place for the family office and ultra-high net worth strategy

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate or related degree
- Fifteen (15+) years of relationship management, capital formation and fund raising experience
- Demonstrated experience in investment networks including, but not limited to private equity, insurance companies, sovereign wealth, and ultra-high net worth family offices
- Demonstrated experience in private equity, commercial real estate and alternative assets
- Demonstrated expertise in structuring and promoting various types of real estate capital structures
- Long-term investment mindset geared towards always meeting investor expectations
- Client/customer service-oriented approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, and analytically
- Experience with sophisticated customer relationship management systems and software
- Highly organized, and process driven individual with attention to detail
- Track record of working well as part of a team
- Strong understanding or experience working with large datasets and AI preferred
- Understanding of compliance protocols in a regulated financial industry
- Travel required
