Events & Marketing Manager — Messina Modern Italian Kitchen

Position Overview
Messina Modern Italian Kitchen is seeking a creative, results-driven Events & Marketing Manager to lead the planning, execution, and promotion of in-restaurant experiences that drive guest traffic, brand awareness, and revenue growth. This role will be responsible for developing high-quality live entertainment programming, managing marketing initiatives, and ensuring all activations produce measurable, ROI-positive results. The ideal candidate blends hospitality event production, marketing strategy, and financial accountability.

Core Responsibilities

Event Programming & Execution

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute 3–4 monthly experiential events including:
  • Live music performances
  • DJ entertainment nights
  • Guest and specialty chef collaboration dinners
  • Themed dining and promotional activations
  • Collaborate closely with restaurant ownership, culinary leadership, and operations teams to align events with brand strategy and operational capacity.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage talent including musicians, DJs, chefs, and vendors.
  • Oversee event logistics including scheduling, contracts, technical needs, staffing coordination, and guest experience execution.
  • Ensure all events align with Messina’s brand, culinary standards, and guest experience expectations.

Marketing Strategy & Promotion

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for each event including digital, social, influencer, and community outreach strategies.
  • Manage event promotion across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, email marketing, reservation platforms, and local partnerships.
  • Coordinate with internal and external creative partners to produce marketing assets, event content, and promotional campaigns.
  • Maintain an organized promotional calendar aligning events with seasonal opportunities, holidays, and business objectives.
  • Track event attendance, engagement metrics, and campaign performance.

Budgeting & ROI Accountability

  • Create and manage event and marketing budgets to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Develop ROI-focused marketing initiatives that drive measurable revenue growth, increased covers, and brand awareness.
  • Analyze performance metrics including attendance, revenue lift, cost-per-acquisition, and guest retention.
  • Provide monthly performance reporting with recommendations for optimization and future programming.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Identify new partnership opportunities with local artists, chefs, brands, and community organizations.
  • Support overall restaurant marketing initiatives including promotions, content creation, and brand campaigns.
  • Stay current on hospitality, entertainment, and dining experience trends to continuously elevate programming.
  • Provide on-site leadership during events to ensure successful execution and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years experience in hospitality marketing, event production, nightlife programming, or entertainment coordination.
  • Strong marketing network to get initial traffic for the events
  • Strong understanding of event budgeting and marketing ROI measurement.
  • Experience booking talent and managing vendor relationships preferred.
  • Demonstrated success executing promotional campaigns that drive measurable revenue.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends during scheduled events.

Success Metrics

  • Consistently execute 3–4 profitable, high-quality events per month.
  • Demonstrate positive ROI across event and marketing spend.
  • Increase restaurant traffic, event attendance, and guest engagement.
  • Strengthen Messina’s brand presence and community positioning.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Compensation structure: Monthly contract with ability to grow to a FTE role based on performance
  • Schedule includes evenings and weekends aligned with event programming.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
