Position Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and relationship driven Inside Sales Executive to grow and manage accounts within institutional markets. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, driving new business development, and expanding revenue within assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain, maintain, and grow relationships with:

    • Institutional Locksmiths
    • Directors of Facilities
    • Security Directors
    • Physical Plant & Maintenance Departments
  • Prospect and develop new clients while expanding current accounts

  • Conduct cold and warm outreach to build a robust sales pipeline

  • Identify decision-makers and influencers within target organizations

  • Participate in quotes, bids, and pricing for hardware solutions

  • Assist customers in selecting the correct product solutions

  • Follow up on e-commerce generated leads to drive account growth

  • Attend industry events, association meetings, and conferences

  • Provide market intelligence and competitor insights

  • Maintain strong product knowledge across security hardware offerings

  • Accurately enter and manage data within Sage / CRM systems

  • Forecast and track sales targets; close deals to meet goals

  • Ensure vendor requirements, contracts, and prequalification processes are completed

  • Collaborate with manufacturers and vendor partners for quotes, technical support, and lead development

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience

  • 3–5+ years of sales or marketing experience plus commercial hardware knowledge & locksmith terminology required

  • Experience in:

    • Locksmithing
    • Doors, Frames & Hardware
    • Building trades
    • Institutional sales environments

Experience within healthcare, education, government, or facility management sectors is highly desirable.

Door hardware product training is provided through manufacturer partnerships.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Door and frame knowledge (strongly preferred)
  • Experience selling into hospitals, education, government, or GSA accounts
  • Facilities management familiarity
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Persuasive communication & presentation ability
  • Prospecting and territory management experience
  • Sales planning and pipeline development
  • Ability to identify customer needs and provide consultative solutions
  • Market knowledge and competitive positioning
  • Professionalism and goal-driven mindset
  • Experience with Sage CRM, e-commerce platforms, and Microsoft Office
