The Director of Social Media leads social media strategy, campaigns, and collaborations for the Company encompassing both the corporate brand and the portfolio of communities across major platforms while overseeing content production in collaboration with marketing teams. This role is responsible for a positive brand impression through social channels and ensures the brand remains engaging and competitive. This role blends big-picture brand storytelling with scalable, localized execution—ensuring every channel, from corporate to community-level, feels cohesive, strategic, and impactful. The ideal candidate is both a strategist and operator: someone who understands how to build a brand at scale, empower teams, and translates business goals into social content that drives engagement, reputation, and results. The Director of Social Media is a hands-on executer that collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for management of external agency engagement.

Job Responsibilities: (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)
- Lead the social media strategy for the company – including the corporate brand and diverse communities brands for all major platforms, channels and audiences in collaboration with marketing technology team and marketing leadership.
- Oversee influencer collaboration and NIL athlete campaigns, from identification and outreach to activation and measurement.
- Build and launch platform-specific strategies including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.
- Direct large-scale content and video production projects from concept, through execution, and distribution.
- Own the strategy, voice, and performance of all corporate social media channels including defining brand positioning, tone, and narrative across platforms, ensuring consistency and relevance while keeping in line with brand expectations.
- Lead content planning for corporate initiatives including brand campaigns, thought leadership, executive visibility, employer brand, and key announcements.
- Develop and execute the executive leadership team’s social media strategy and presence ensuring professional, engaging, and brand-aligned messaging.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Communications, Public Relations (PR), and Leadership to align social strategy with broader business goals. corporate and portfolio brand.
- Develop and maintain a scalable social media framework for the Company’s portfolio of communities (e.g., communities, locations, brands, or markets).
- Develop scalable, companywide campaigns that are simple for entry-level creators to execute and drive consistent results across the portfolio.
- Establish best practices, playbooks, and guardrails for community-level social channels while allowing for local authenticity.
- Guide community teams and partners on content strategy, platform use, paid amplification, and engagement tactics.
- Ensure channels reflect both local personality and overarching brand standards.
- Act as a strategic advisor to cross-functional partners and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with MARCOM/Public Relations and Marketing to launch social-first campaigns, partnerships, and brand collaborations.
- Manage vendor relationships, including, but not limited to creative agencies, production partners, creators, technology providers, etc.
- Build comprehensive reporting dashboards to track engagement, account growth, influencer return on investment (ROI), and campaign effectiveness.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting frameworks for both corporate and community social performance.
- Use data and insights to refine strategy, improve content effectiveness, and demonstrate ROI.
- Collaborate on paid social strategy in partnership with media teams.
- Leverage social media management tools for scheduling, monitoring, and analytics.
- Ensure consistency and follow through in implementation of campaigns to meet deliverable expectations.
- Request and gather content materials as needed for content creation.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, emerging formats, and relevant cultural moments for target audience marketing, social media innovations, and influencer strategies bringing forward innovative ideas that keep the brand relevant and competitive.
Supervisory Responsibilities:* Carries out supervisor responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Coach, train and develop a team while managing the workflow and prioritization of projects and ensuring on-time execution and completion.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Education/Experience:* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of social media management experience for medium to large brands.
- Proven experience managing multiple brand accounts and leading multi-platform campaigns.
- Experience working with influencers, NIL athletes, and managing vendor relationships preferred.
- Expertise in platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn strategy, with proven growth and engagement results.
§ Skilled in storytelling, copywriting, and directing video/content production.
§ Proficient in social media management tools (i.e. Sprinklr, Sprout, etc.) with experience creating portfolio-wide analytics and reports.
§ Highly organized, collaborative, and able to design campaigns that are scalable, simple to implement, and maintain a premium brand image.### Job Benefits
