Job Summary
The Social Media Content Creator is responsible for the daily creation and management of brand-aligned content across all social media platforms for all locations. This position focuses on storytelling, product education, lifestyle content, and building meaningful relationships with our audience to drive traffic to retail locations, the website, and events.
The role requires consistent planning, creation, and posting of content while maintaining Cozy Cannabis’s elevated brand standards. Responsibilities include staying ahead of social media trends, relevant holidays, promotions, and new product launches, ensuring content is timely, engaging, and aligned with the overall brand strategy. This position demands proactive execution, creativity, and the ability to independently manage daily content requirements while meeting established expectations and deadlines.
Duties
- Capture high-quality photos and videos daily across all store locations. Publish daily content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Marsello
- Manage and update images on Google, Apple, and Yelp listings to ensure they remain current and accurately reflect brand standards
- Develop and post lifestyle, educational, and experiential content, including:
- Product pairings (flower and lifestyle items)
- Specials and promotional campaigns
- New product launches
- Team features and customer engagement content
- Event promotion and post-event recap content
- Create retail and cannabis lifestyle content both in-store and off-site in alignment with brand standards and compliance requirements
- Ensure all content aligns with the company’s elevated brand, marketing strategy, and current promotions
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and relevant cultural moments to inform content planning
Skills
- Work closely with store teams, the events coordinator, Herb Marketing Agency, and the leadership team to align on promotions and messaging.
- Engage with customers to encourage participation in marketing and content creation
- Participate in marketing meetings 2–3 times per month to align on campaigns, promotions, and content strategy
- Attend leadership meetings to review and discuss end-of-month (EOM) KPIs and performance metrics
Engagement and Growth
- Respond to comments, messages, tags, and shares daily
- Engage with customers, influencers, and brand collaborators
- Repost customer content and community features
- Support follower growth and engagement
Performance and Scheduling
- Schedule content using Metricool
- Track performance and growth metrics, including:
- Engagement rates
- Follower growth
- Website traffic
- Store traffic tied to campaigns
- Event attendance and promotional participation
Brand and Campaign Alignment
- Maintain alignment with Cozy Cannabis brand standards across all social media content
- Ensure all content reflects Cozy’s luxury, welcoming, experiential, and connection-focused brand values
- Plan and execute content calendars in advance of holidays, product launches, and key marketing campaigns
- Coordinate content timing and messaging to support company-wide promotions and initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in launching influencer marketing campaigns
- Build monthly content calendars/themes
- Identify viral/trending audio opportunities
- Maintain a digital asset library for future campaigns
- Assist with basic reel editing and caption writing
- Suggest promotional ideas based on performance insights
Ideal Candidate Qualifications: The ideal candidate possesses strong iPhone photography and video skills and is comfortable filming individuals, lifestyle content, and live events. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to identifying and executing on relevant social media trends. The candidate should demonstrate a strong interest in branding, retail, and cannabis culture. The ability to travel to each store location weekly is required for this role.
Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per month
