About the Role & Program
The Disney Experiences Communications Events team brings stories to life by planning, developing, and producing dynamic events that support a range of businesses across the segment. From milestone announcements to immersive media and influencer experiences, our team creates unforgettable moments that showcase the magic of Disney Experiences.
This internship will involve working on projects supporting various Disney Experiences businesses, including, but not limited to, the Walt Disney World® Resort and Disney Consumer Products. The role requires strategic thinking, project management skills, and the ability to prioritize. Through close collaboration with partners, you will support events that deliver outstanding results aligned with business goals, objectives, and strategies.
This internship is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is eager to help connect audiences with Disney storytelling in impactful ways.
The intern will report to the Manager of Events.
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Orlando, Florida, from June 2026 through January 2027.
What You Will Do
In this role, the individual will be involved in a wide variety of event planning activities, including but not limited to the following:
- Be a collective participant in the conceptualization of business-driving events
- Collaborate with both internal and external partners to help develop and implement events of various sizes and complexities
- Provide on-the-ground support throughout the event development process, all the way through event execution
- Make valuable contributions to the success of the team by assisting in developing, updating, and prioritizing key project/event planning documents such as agendas, itineraries, tracking grids, presentations, and more
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Well-organized, with time management skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to optimally communicate in a way that is both proactive and assertive
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently on a team
- The skill to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Creative, nimble, disruptive to the status quo, and genuinely optimistic
- Able to offer a fresh perspective and remain laser-focused on relevancy
- The ability to uphold a professional business image and presentation of excellence through professional dress, written and oral presentations
- A valid US driver’s license and your own personal vehicle to get to/from on-site events
- Flexible, as schedules could include nights or weekends
- A strong proficiency and skill in Microsoft Office and the capability to learn new and existing software programs & applications
Preferred Qualifications
- A zeal for the Disney brand and culture
- Knowledge and experience working within the events space
- Prior experience working within a professional environment
- A curiosity about the current media landscape and how it drives reputation and business results
- The desire to participate in creative storytelling through event design and Guest experiences
Education
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in events, project management, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related major

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through January 2027
- Fully available from Monday to Friday, with possible weekends and nights for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
