We develop, manufacture and market instruments, biosensors, reagents, and consumables for in-vitro diagnostics and biotherapeutic development. Our mission is to simplify and accelerate biological analysis for biotherapeutic research and development.

We are hiring a Sales and Market Development Manager, North America, to drive market awareness, opportunity generation, and early customer engagement across academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical segments. This is an individual contributor role focused on building pipeline and market presence, working closely with sales leadership, application scientists, and marketing.

The role is designed to identify opportunities, qualify interest, initiate customer conversations, and create momentum that enables downstream sales execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive market development activities across assigned North American territories and segments, with a strong emphasis on lead generation and opportunity identification.
  • Identify, qualify, and nurture early-stage opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, events, and strategic account engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with researchers, principal investigators, lab managers, and decision influencers to understand unmet needs and position Gator Bio solutions accordingly.
  • Conduct high-level product introductions, scientific discussions, and value-based presentations, independently or jointly with sales and application teams.
  • Support sales pipeline development by generating qualified leads, scheduling discovery meetings, and ensuring smooth handover of opportunities to closing teams.
  • Represent Gator Bio at conferences, trade shows, scientific meetings, workshops, and webinars to increase brand visibility and market penetration.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to support campaign execution, regional initiatives, and targeted outreach activities.
  • Gather and report market intelligence, including customer feedback, competitive activity, pricing dynamics, and emerging trends.
  • Maintain accurate activity, lead, and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and excellence across all customer-facing and internal interactions, representing the company with credibility and consistency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in life sciences preferred.
  • Prior experience in life science sales, market development, business development, or scientific commercial roles, ideally within tools, instrumentation, or reagents.
  • Strong understanding of biotherapeutic research workflows, biomolecular interaction analysis, or related life science applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, initiate conversations, and build commercial relationships in a scientific environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating autonomously in a remote, individual contributor role.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce and standard Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 30 percent within North America.
