THE ROLE
The responsibilities of a Solution Specialist/ Evangelist for PSA are focused on bridging product expertise with market engagement to drive adoption, awareness, and trust.
This role is the strategic linchpin, sitting at the intersection of Product, Marketing, and Sales.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
Thought Leadership and Public Advocacy
- Speaking Engagements: Presenting at industry conferences, webinars, and meetups to showcase the solution's value, use cases, and success stories. The goal is to establish the company as an authority in its space.
- Narrative Creation: Crafting and communicating a compelling, authentic story about why the product matters, not just what it does. This includes tailoring the message for different audiences (developers, business leaders, end-users).
Content Creation and Education
- High-Value Content: Developing technical and educational content that drives product adoption and aligns with marketing strategy, such as blogs, videos, tutorials, whitepapers, and documentation.
- Demos and Webinars: Delivering engaging and expert product demonstrations and training sessions that empower customers and prospects to understand and utilize the solution effectively.
- Community Building and Engagement
- Nurturing Relationships: Building and fostering an engaged community of users, early adopters, and influencers through forums, social media, and local events.
- Feedback Loop: Acting as a critical bridge between the external market/community and the internal product team. Gathering high-quality, actionable customer and prospect feedback and channeling it back to inform the product roadmap and messaging.
Sales and Marketing Enablement
- "Secret Weapon" for Sales: Assisting the sales team, particularly in late-stage or complex enterprise deals, by providing deep product expertise and running highly tailored, persuasive demonstrations.
- Creating Enablement Assets: Developing battle cards, FAQs, prospect-ready videos, and other materials that empower the sales and marketing teams to articulate the solution's value accurately.
- Driving KPIs: Directly or indirectly contributing to key metrics like:
- Increasing brand visibility and awareness.
- Driving product adoption (e.g., sign-ups after a webinar).
- Enhancing user loyalty and retention (e.g., community engagement leading to lower churn).

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
The candidate should have spent time in roles where they had to both deeply understand software and persuasively communicate its value to a specific, professional audience.
Deep Domain Expertise in PSA
This is the most critical component. The Evangelist must speak the language of the target audience—CS leaders and practitioners.
- Consulting Leadership Experience: Direct experience in a running a (global preferred) consulting organization.They must be able to authentically discuss keep elements of running a consulting organization including, but not limited to revenue and profitability, utilization targets, employee and customer satisfaction, etc..
- PSA Tech Stack Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Professional Services solutions is a major plus (e.g., Certinia, Kantata, Rocketlane, etc.), as they will be evangelizing a competing or adjacent tool.
- Outcomes Focus: Proven ability to articulate the business impact of PS initiatives (e.g., how a 5% increase in utilization impacts services revenue).
Product & Technical Fluency
The Evangelist must be the expert resource who can dive deeper than the sales team.
- SaaS Product Experience (3+ years): Experience working closely with or on a SaaS Product Management team.
- Solutions Consulting: A background as a Solutions Consultant as these roles require live demo skills and technical problem-solving.
- Data and Integration: Comfort discussing data flows, API capabilities, and integration requirements, as PS platforms heavily rely on integrating with CRM (like Salesforce) and other data sources.
Communication & Public Presence
This defines the "Evangelist" part of the title.
- Public Speaking: A portfolio of public-facing communications. This should include experience presenting at conferences, large-scale webinars, and industry meetups.
- Content Creation: A history of creating high-quality, authoritative content specifically for a professional audience. For this role, provide examples of thought leadership articles on the future of PSA..
- Community Engagement: Proven ability to build and engage a community, whether through online forums (e.g., dedicated Slack channels, industry forums) or CS related industry user groups.
WHAT ELSE WOULD BE GREAT
- Passionate about PSA and the product's mission. Their credibility hinges on not sounding like a sales pitch.
- The ability to quickly understand the user's pain points and tailor the solution narrative to make it instantly relevant.
- Can take complex technical features and translate them into simple, compelling narratives about customer value and business outcomes.
- The ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment and effective knowledge transfer.
Salary Range: $200,000 - $275,000
