TEAM LEAD - GORILLA ENERGY HOUSTON MARKET

HOUSTON, TX

Compensation: $32/hour | Part-Time (Approximately 29 hours/week)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a dynamic, results-driven Team Lead to launch and manage our Houston

market expansion for Gorilla Energy. This part-time role (approximately 29 hours per week)

requires someone who can build and manage teams throughout the Greater Houston

metropolitan area, develop strategic marketing initiatives, and establish a strong brand

presence throughout Houston's diverse industrial, educational, and cultural landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Strategy Development & Execution

  • Create comprehensive market schedules and manage implementation of marketing

initiatives across the Greater Houston metropolitan area

  • Develop and execute both short-term and long-term market strategies throughout

the region

  • Lead guerrilla marketing efforts in high-value locations including construction sites,

trade schools, oil & gas facilities, manufacturing plants, music venues, and fitness

centers

  • Build and maintain relationships with local fitness influencers, businesses, bluecollar workers, industry professionals, and music scene leaders
  • Target key areas including Downtown Houston, Midtown, Montrose, Heights, Energy

Corridor, Galleria/Uptown, Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, The Woodlands, and

surrounding communities

  • Identify and capitalize on event opportunities including:

o Major university events at University of Houston, Rice University, Texas

Southern University, and Houston Community College

o Energy industry conferences and networking events

o Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and other major cultural festivals

o Local music festivals and live music venues across diverse neighborhoods

o Houston Texans, Rockets, and Astros sporting events and tailgates

  • Leverage Houston's position as the Energy Capital of the World to connect with oil &

gas, petrochemical, and industrial workforce demographics

  • Tap into Houston's thriving construction boom and rapidly growing population
  • Educate potential customers about what makes Gorilla Energy different from

Competitors

Team Management

  • Source, interview, and onboard Brand Ambassadors (BAs) in the Houston market
  • Ensure all team members complete required background checks
  • Manage W2 Brand Ambassador teams throughout the metropolitan area
  • Train team members on Gorilla Energy product knowledge with market-specific

customization for Houston's diverse, multicultural demographics

  • Coordinate and schedule team activities effectively across Houston's sprawling

geography and diverse communities

Inventory & Equipment Management

  • Manage and organize storage solutions for product and promotional materials
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking
  • Maintain equipment in good working order through Houston's humid subtropical

climate

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all company assets

Reporting & Communication

  • Maintain detailed documentation of all market activities
  • Create comprehensive recaps after events with market-specific insights
  • Report on performance metrics for the Houston market
  • Provide strategic recommendations for market growth
  • Communicate effectively with company leadership and BA teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, event management, or team leadership
  • Strong understanding of the Houston metropolitan market, or demonstrated ability

to quickly learn new markets

  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills across diverse industrial and

cultural communities

  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing strategies
  • Experience managing teams in fast-paced environments
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Knowledge of energy drink market and consumer trends
  • Ability to work effectively in Houston's hot, humid climate year-round
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comfort navigating Houston's sprawling geography and traffic patterns

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Existing relationships within Houston fitness, construction, energy/oil & gas, or

music communities

  • Experience with guerrilla marketing campaigns in industrial/blue-collar markets
  • Background in energy sector, construction, trades, music/events, hospitality, or

related industries

  • Knowledge of university campuses and surrounding areas (University of Houston,

Rice University, Texas Southern University, University of St. Thomas, Houston

Community College System)

  • Event planning and coordination experience
  • Beverage or CPG marketing experience
  • Familiarity with Houston's unique multicultural dynamics and geographic spread
  • Experience working with diverse, blue-collar demographics including energy sector

workers

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) a strong plus given Houston's demographics
