Junior Account Executive, Technology PR

A growing PR agency in NYC is seeking a motivated Junior Account Executive to support technology-focused public relations clients. This role is ideal for an early-career PR professional eager to build strong media relationships, support client accounts, and gain hands-on experience across integrated campaigns that blend traditional PR with digital and influencer storytelling.

The position supports a mix of B2B and select B2C technology clients and offers exposure to fast-paced, high-impact communications work.

  • Salary range: $55K - $60K
  • Hybrid - 2 days a week in office

Key Responsibilities

Media Relations

  • Research and develop targeted media lists using industry tools such as Cision and Muck Rack
  • Support outreach to national, regional, and emerging media outlets, including podcasts, radio, and influencer platforms
  • Assist with developing story angles, press materials, and media pitches
  • Monitor news cycles, trends, and cultural moments to identify timely opportunities
  • Conduct proactive outreach and support coverage generation
  • Track, compile, and share earned media and competitive coverage

Account & Program Support

  • Assist with day-to-day account coordination, including scheduling calls, drafting agendas and recaps, and maintaining documentation
  • Organize shared folders, trackers, and internal databases
  • Coordinate shipments to media and influencers
  • Support logistics for client meetings, events, and internal planning sessions
  • Provide assistance on events, activations, mailers, and experiential initiatives

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain media tracking documents and coverage reports
  • Monitor ongoing client and competitor activity
  • Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Support recap and results reporting for campaigns, events, mailers, and influencer programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time agency experience; technology or corporate PR experience strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Creative thinker with a positive, adaptable attitude
  • Interest in media, digital storytelling, and the evolving influencer landscape
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of tasks
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines
