Role Overview
We are hiring an E-commerce Product Marketing Manager to own how our products are marketed, presented, and promoted online.

This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Product messaging
  • Conversion-focused content
  • Creative direction (image design + video)
  • E-commerce growth support (SEO + paid media)

This is a hands-on, execution-first role with real decision-making authority, not a strategy-only marketing position.

You will be the final approver for product copy, SEO content, and creative assets within defined brand and compliance guardrails.

Core Responsibilities

Product Marketing & PDP Ownership

  • Own product detail pages (PDPs) across Shopify and marketplaces
  • Write, refine, and approve product copy that is clear, accurate, and conversion-focused
  • Translate technical lighting specifications into customer-friendly benefits
  • Ensure consistency and clarity across product pages, categories, and collections

Creative Direction & Approval

  • Approve SEO copy written by the SEO Specialist
  • Approve design assets created by the Senior Graphic Designer
  • Provide clear creative direction and feedback focused on conversion
  • Ensure assets move from “done” to “live” efficiently
  • Align with the e-mail marketing agency to provide marketing elements for each e-mail campaign

SEO & On-Page Alignment

  • Ensure on-page SEO best practices are followed without sacrificing clarity or trust
  • Collaborate with SEO on page structure, intent, and templates
  • Approve SEO content within defined guardrails

Video Content

  • Spearhead video strategy for e-commerce and ads
  • Identify video needs (Product videos, explainer videos, ad creatives)
  • Write briefs, scripts, and messaging for video content sent to external sources
  • Use performance data to guide creative iteration across paid media channels
  • Help build a repeatable video content system

You are accountable for video output and effectiveness, not necessarily filming or editing

Paid Advertising Accountability

  • Collaborate with media buyer to ensure performance exceeds ROAS/ACOS and CPA targets while scaling spend to efficiently increase overall sales
  • Own ad creative direction, messaging, and testing angles
  • Review performance weekly and recommend creative improvements
  • Ensure ads align tightly with PDP messaging and video content

This role is accountable for results, not required to be the sole media buyer on day one.

Content Planning

  • Develop and manage a dynamic Marketing Calendar aligned with product launches, SEO initiatives, and promotions.
  • Facilitate weekly/bi-weekly planning sessions in collaboration with other members of the E-commerce and Graphics teams to gather insights and generate ideas.
  • Continuous improvement and updates to the Shopify website while maintaining messaging consistency.

Execution & Decision Ownership

  • Reduce approval bottlenecks by making confident decisions
  • Ship content quickly within defined guardrails
  • Own outcomes, not just assets

Required Qualifications

  • 4–6+ years of experience in e-commerce, product marketing, or conversion-focused marketing
  • 4+ years of experience in Google Ads and Meta Ads
  • 4+ years of experience directing and approving creative assets (design and/or video)
  • 3+ Strong experience in influencer marketing using micro influencers for UGC content
  • Strong copywriting skills with a conversion mindset
  • Solid understanding of on-page SEO fundamentals
  • Comfortable making decisions and shipping work without constant approvals

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience with Amazon listings and A+ content
  • Experience marketing technical or spec-heavy products
  • Experience supporting or managing paid advertising creative
  • Knowledge of the Lighting industry is a plus.
