Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Publicist to elevate our brand’s visibility and foster positive relationships with media outlets, stakeholders, and the public. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies to promote organizational initiatives, events, and key messages.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials following AP style guidelines to ensure clarity and professionalism.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets across various platforms to secure coverage.
  • Coordinate and deliver engaging public speaking appearances and presentations to enhance organizational visibility.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, media landscapes, and target audiences to inform strategic communication efforts.
  • Manage social media channels by creating engaging content, monitoring engagement metrics, and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Proofread all outgoing materials meticulously to maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Skills

  • Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail; proficiency in AP style is essential.
  • Strong public speaking abilities with experience in delivering presentations or speeches confidently.
  • Excellent research skills to identify opportunities and understand audience needs.
  • Background in journalism or related fields that enhances storytelling capabilities.
  • Proven experience in media relations, including securing press coverage and managing press inquiries.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and public relations strategies to craft compelling campaigns.
  • Skilled in social media management tools and content creation for diverse platforms.
  • Outstanding communication skills—both verbal and written—that foster collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
