LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
This is a remote position with the option to work from our office in Norco, California. Weekend travel to events throughout the year is required. The ideal candidate is based in California or Arizona to facilitate event attendance and regional collaboration.

Activated Events is a leading independent event company producing music festivals around the United States for over 16 years. Our premier brand Boots in the Park brings country music's top performers to local parks in markets around the southwest. Additional brands include: The Smoke Show, Taco Fest, Part In The Park, and Coastal Country Jam.
THE ROLE
We need a creative marketer with proven live music industry experience who can own the visual identity and digital strategy of our festival brands. This role demands someone who is both a creative visionary (designing scroll-stopping content, crafting compelling campaigns) and a meticulous operator (managing editorial calendars, tracking analytics, coordinating cross-functional deliverables).
You'll work directly with the head of marketing to develop and execute comprehensive campaigns that drive ticket sales across multiple markets. If you combine exceptional graphic design skills with strategic marketing expertise and obsessive attention to detail, and you have deep roots in the live music industry to prove it, we want to hear from you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative & Content Leadership
- Design and produce marketing assets including social media graphics, email templates and content graphics
- Create and execute real-time event content during festivals to capture the live music experience and showcase performers and sponsors
- Lead social media strategy across multiple brand accounts with platform-specific content that resonates with diverse music audiences
- Craft compelling copy that captures the unique appeal of each event and artist
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Develop and manage comprehensive email marketing campaigns including segmentation, automation, and A/B testing
- Build and maintain detailed social media content calendars across multiple accounts with up-to-date, engaging material
- Monitor performance market-by-market and make strategic adjustments to meet goals
Analytics & Optimization
- Track and analyze campaign performance using data-driven insights to optimize marketing decisions
- Manage marketing automation and CRM tools (HubSpot) to streamline communications
- Report on key metrics (KPIs) and translate analytics into actionable strategies
- Conduct A/B testing on email campaigns and digital content to improve engagement and conversion
Partnership & Brand Development
- Identify and cultivate strategic local brand partnerships to expand reach
- Collaborate with influencers, creators, and media outlets to amplify campaigns
- Coordinate promotional giveaways
- Ensure all marketing materials align with brand standards and campaign goals
Project & Team Coordination
- Manage multiple simultaneous campaigns with meticulous attention to deadlines and deliverables
- Maintain organized project management systems to track all campaign elements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are essential:
- 3-6 years of marketing experience specifically in the live music, concert, or festival
- industry (this is non-negotiable)
- Strong graphic design portfolio demonstrating proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools
- Proven content creation skills including photo/video editing and production for social media
- Track record of managing successful social media platforms for entertainment brands with measurable audience growth
- Demonstrated success with email marketing campaigns and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot preferred)
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret analytics and optimize performance
- Based in California or Arizona with flexibility to travel to weekend events
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
