Location: Hybrid at San Francisco, CA 94107

Contract Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension or conversion

Pay rate: $65- $69/hr on W2

The Executive Social Media Lead elevates thought leadership and storytelling by managing executives' social media presence . This role spans ideation, community management, writing, content capture and editingtransforming executive insights into engaging social content that drives measurable results. deep platform fluency across key social channels, video production skills , crisis sensitivity to navigate real-time situations thoughtfully, and the ability to spot and execute timely content opportunities that build executives' profiles as industry leaders.

Responsibilities

Leverage social platforms and digital communities to amplify growth, vision and executive thought leadership, increasing reach, relevance, and engagement among key audiences.

● Own the integrated digital strateg y for top executives, including our CEO, with LinkedIn and X as the flagship platforms for announcements and thought leadership.

Partner with C-Suite leadership , Comms, Marketing, and Creative to align communications with business priorities, audience needs, and industry trends.

Shape the digital “playbook ” for how leaders show up online , establishing best practices, tone, and frameworks that scale across executives and teams.

Develop social-first thought leadership campaigns and roadmap that position executives as industry leaders while reinforcing mission and priorities.

● Oversee executive content calendars, copywriting, production, and engagement strategies across text, video, and visual formats.

● Lead experimentation in emerging media formats and social trends , identifying and testing new platforms and content types that expand executives digital footprints and engagement.

Shape and execute digital strategy for executive events and appearances – covering pre-event positioning, real-time coverage, and post-event amplification.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media, communications or publicity , ideally building and supporting an individual’s profile.
  • Experience in community management.
  • Proven track record of managing LinkedIn pages and delivering measurable growth in engagement and influence.
  • Strong content creation skills across copy, visuals, and multimedia formats.
  • Experience capturing events for social and turning them into evergreen content.
  • Familiarity with emerging social channels and influencer/creator ecosystems.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.
  • Ability to translate business goals into digital and content strategies.
