The Guesthouse at La Bahia Hotel & Spa is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Sales Manager for our Preferred Guest Program. The Guesthouse at La Bahia’s Preferred Guest Program is the only offering of its kind on the Central Coast—combining a historic private Guesthouse with luxury hotel, spa, dining, and beach access. Position Summary:

Qualified candidates will excel in a service-driven hospitality culture, consistently delivering elevated guest experiences and building genuine, lasting relationships. Reporting to the Director of The Guesthouse, this role is essential to the Preferred Guest Program’s success—driving qualified lead conversion while ensuring Licensees receive thoughtful, personalized hospitality. The position requires regular time away from the office for community outreach, prospect meetings, and sales development.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:

  • Accountable for proactively soliciting potential new accounts and lead opportunities
  • Respond to prospective inquiries, conduct tours and meetings, while formalizing sales process.
  • Grow and maintain a book of business through preferred guest program sales generation.
  • Enter all sales and lead generations into CRM platform.
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales goals through acquisition of new licenses.
  • Provide the highest level of service through constant communication and follow through with prospects and current clients.
  • Build and establish relationships with local community organizations such as chambers of commerce and tourism boards, as well as local community leaders and influencers.
  • Attend various community functions for lead generation.
  • Develop and implement programs and activities in conjunction with our marketing team, which increase and retain licensees in the Preferred Guest Program, including, but not limited to, telephone sales campaigns, direct marketing programs, networking events, open-house events, and the like.
  • Attend industry events that foster relationships that are important to generate referrals and other business opportunities.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required to provide updates on sales and initiatives.
  • Follow-up on assigned sales leads in a timely manner
  • Daily business review: presentation, participation and collaboration with team
  • Possess key knowledge of the overall market, competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand.
  • Live the brand and be an ambassador of the brand internally and externally.
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience required. Prior experience in private club industry is a plus.
  • Thorough sales expertise includes prospecting, pre-qualifying, asking insightful questions, delivering compelling presentations, actively listening, overcoming objections, clearly communicating the value proposition, negotiating effectively, and closing business.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Present a professional appearance with a pleasant and mature demeanor.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship skills.
  • Knowledge of local markets preferred.
