About the job
Role Overview
Chi-Town Harley-Davidson is seeking a strategic and high-energy Events & Social Media Coordinator. This role is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our dealership’s community engagement, focusing on two primary pillars: producing high-impact events that drive dealership foot traffic and managing a multi-platform digital presence that maintains brand relevance.
The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who understands the Harley-Davidson lifestyle and can translate that passion into measurable growth through events, social media, and email marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
Events & Experiential Marketing
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual events calendar designed to increase showroom traffic and foster customer loyalty.
- Execution: Lead the logistical coordination of all dealership events, including Bike Nights, seasonal Open Houses, charity rides, and workshops.
- Vendor Management: Source and coordinate with external partners, including catering, live entertainment, and local community influencers.
- Analysis: Track and report on event ROI, attendance metrics, and lead generation to refine future event strategies.
Social Media Management & Ideation
- Content Strategy: Plan and execute a daily content calendar across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Content Creation: Act as the primary "on-the-ground" creator—capturing high-quality photos and short-form video (Reels/TikToks) of new inventory, dealership culture, and event highlights.
- Creative Direction: While graphic design is outsourced, you will be responsible for submitting creative briefs and providing direction to ensure all digital assets align with the Harley-Davidson brand voice and dealership goals.
- Community Management: Monitor social channels to engage with followers, answer inquiries, and manage the dealership's online reputation.
Email Marketing
- Campaign Deployment: Direct the strategy and distribution of weekly email newsletters.
- Database Growth: Implement on-site and digital tactics to grow the dealership’s email subscriber list.
- Messaging: Draft professional, engaging copy for promotions, service reminders, and event invitations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in Marketing, Event Coordination, or Social Media Management.
- Digital Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of social media algorithms, trends, and platform-specific best practices.
- Creative Eye: Experience with basic video editing (CapCut, etc.) and mobile photography is required. While graphic design is outsourced, a background in design or experience using Canva/Adobe Suite is a significant plus.
- Professionalism: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to represent the dealership professionally to vendors and customers.
- Schedule: Must have the flexibility to work Saturdays and occasional evenings to support dealership events.
