Job Description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Social Media Operations Specialist with a strong focus on TikTok, while also supporting content planning, publishing, and collaboration across other social media platforms.

This role supports the entire marketing team, assisting with content creation workflows, multi-platform publishing, and influencer outreach. TikTok will be a primary focus, but this position is not limited to TikTok only.

You will collaborate with our in-house visual production and marketing teams to support content planning, execution, and publishing across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of Akicon’s social media accounts, with a primary focus on TikTok, and additional support for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms as needed
• Assist with content planning, caption writing, scheduling, and publishing across multiple platforms
• Research platform trends (especially TikTok) and assist in adapting trends to fit the brand’s tone and positioning
• Coordinate with the marketing team, photographers, and videographers to support content creation workflows
• Assist with influencer and creator outreach, communication, and collaboration coordination
• Help manage content calendars, workflows, and deadlines using project management tools (e.g. Monday)
• Track basic performance metrics and assist with reporting and optimization
• Support additional marketing or social media initiatives as needed

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in social media, marketing, content operations, or related fields
• Familiarity with TikTok and other major social media platforms, including basic understanding of content trends and algorithms
• Strong English writing and communication skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
• Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and sense of branding and visual aesthetics
• Self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Comfortable working on-site in a collaborative team environment

Nice to Have

• Experience assisting with influencer or creator collaborations
• Interest in photography, video, or short-form content workflows
• Basic knowledge of social media analytics or content planning tools
• Interest in lifestyle, design, or home/kitchen-related content
