About the job

WHO WE ARE

Holden is an NYC-based fine jewelry company that celebrates love in all its forms. Our entire product line is gender-neutral and handcrafted from recycled gold and lab-grown stones. We’re proudly Climate Neutral Certified and donate 1% of all sales to The Trevor Project (with a minimum annual donation of $50,000). We are a small, fast-growing team with an ambitious vision and are looking for people who are ready to make an impact from day one.

WHAT’S THE ROLE?

We’re looking for a Director of Growth Marketing to lead the company’s next phase of growth. This role owns the end-to-end growth marketing roadmap, driving customer acquisition, conversion, and retention across paid, lifecycle, partnership, and emerging channels. We’re looking for someone who has experience balancing near-term efficiency with long-term brand and revenue health.

The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, setting direction, building scalable systems, and operating with fluency across performance, lifecycle, and analytics. This role partners closely with creative and leadership teams to translate brand vision into measurable growth. Reporting directly to one of the co-founders, the Director of Growth Marketing will serve as a key strategic leader, owning investment decisions, performance outcomes, and experimentation strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and execute the company’s growth strategy, aligning channel execution with revenue, customer, and brand objectives.
  • Lead paid media strategy and execution, owning campaign and ad concepting, copywriting, budget allocation, and performance analytics.
  • Own e-commerce and growth analytics, translating data into insights that drive acquisition, conversion, and retention performance.
  • Lead CRO optimization and SEO/AI strategy, improving organic visibility, conversion rates, and on-site revenue through testing and experimentation.
  • Partner with Holden’s Marketing Manager to lead Email and SMS marketing strategy - covering lifecycle flows, deliverability, segmentation, and performance analysis.
  • Partner with Holden’s Marketing Manager to define influencer, brand partnership, and affiliate/referral strategies, with full ownership of performance measurement and ROI.
  • Lead new offline and upper-funnel initiatives (OOH, CTV, Direct Mail), owning concept development, strategy, and full-funnel analytics.
  • Establish and own KPIs, reporting, and forecasting across all channels, ensuring accountability, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage marketing budgets and investment strategy, owning ROI modeling, efficiency targets, and post-campaign learnings.
  • Advance creative and experimentation frameworks, increasing testing velocity, optimization rigor, and cross-channel performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience leading growth, performance, or lifecycle marketing for a high-growth DTC, e-commerce, or consumer brand, with ownership over revenue-driving channels.
  • Strong financial and operational rigor, including budget ownership, ROI modeling, scenario planning, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Ability to translate brand vision into integrated, multi-channel execution that delivers both near-term performance and long-term brand equity.
  • Hands-on experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Shopify, GA4, Looker, Klaviyo/Attentive (or a similar ESP)
  • Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to work quickly and pivot nimbly between projects
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
