Social Media Specialist

Job Summary:

Memor Museum, a museum specializing in the promotion and exhibition of Asian art and cultures, is seeking a skilled Social Media Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will assist the Publicity and Marketing Manager in leading and running social media operations, marketing and advertising for company events, projects and daily promotion. You will oversee and present promotional plans for social media engagement and company accounts, including but not limited to Instagram/Meta, TikTok, WeChat, and Xiaohongshu. This position is on-site at our New York City office with occasional opportunity for remote work. This position requires full professional working proficiency in Mandarin.

Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:

Assist Publicity and Marketing Manager in social media publicity and promotional efforts through meticulous and detailed planning to ensure strong company presence on major social media platforms popular in US and Asia/East Asia

• Run company social media accounts and engage proper advertising channels, media trends and influencer resources
• Develop and build relationships with KOLs for effective promotion

Develop consistent branding and social media strategies and schedules, and work closely with our video team to plan and implement engaging content on a regular basis

Create innovative social media content with a deep understanding of Asian international trends and New York local landscape to reach diverse groups interested in culture, entertainment and education

Analyze social media coverage and trends to assess company media efficacy and present solutions to readjust to ensure ROI in timely manner

Deliver results in a timely manner and respond to upper management with sense of urgency and appropriate follow-through

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of a BS/BA and minimum 2 years overall experience in a Social Media Management/Specialist role

• Must be well-versed in popular social media platforms, trends and audience tastes in Asia/East Asia as well as US/New York

Excellent communication, organization and fluency in social media language/jargon in English and Chinese

General understanding of or experience in marketing and Asian culture, required

• Experience in social media advertising, a plus

Work experiences or knowledge in the museum, entertainment or event planning industry, preferred

Work experiences or knowledge in start-up companies, preferred

Must be proficient in Mandarin

cultures to the general public through special exhibitions, interactive cultural relic IPs and

community-oriented events. Pioneering local and international museum experiences at

the intersection of art, culture and technology, Memor NYC is currently preparing to

establish Memor Museum on the Upper East Side.

Pay range in New York, NY

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location..
