Job Summary:
Dansko’s social media strategist will develop and execute online strategies to increase brand awareness and achieve marketing goals. The Social Media Strategist will create and oversee content strategies, analyzing performance metrics, identifying target audiences, and managing social media campaigns across various platforms. Responsibility includes growing brand awareness and loyalty, and driving customer acquisition and retention through innovative, insight-led campaigns. This role requires a blend of creativity, data analysis, and marketing expertise.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with brand goals and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Creative Manager to ensure social assets align with brand standards, voice, and tone.
Social:
- Manage and grow organic social presence—crafting content that captures interest, shares, and loyalty.
- Monitor brand sentiment and engage with customers, influencers, and brand ambassadors; Actively engage with reviews, comments, and communities to create authentic two-way dialogue.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics. Make Recommendations regarding current results and future goals.
Influencers
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of influencer marketing program across all marketing channels, driving brand-building collaborations.
- Set the strategic roadmap for influencer activations and guide brief development to ensure alignment with brand priorities.
- Identify and collaborate with influencers, creators, and brand partners who align brand story.
- Oversee performance analysis of influencer partnerships, leveraging insights to optimize strategy, improve ROI, and inform future campaign planning.
Job Qualifications:
- Expert-level understanding of all major social media platforms, with an eye on new emerging platforms
- Have 4–6 years of experience in social, community, or marketing (DTC or consumer brands preferred).
- Deep understanding of marketing, influencer, and community KPIs, with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights
- Proven track record of growing organic social accounts with both engagement and follower quality.
- Proactive self-starter and collaborative partner who can drive initiatives forward while fostering strong cross-functional partnerships and programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong storytelling skills
- Proficient in project management, process management, and organizational skills
- An analytical approach, and experience in understanding, and presenting data
- Thorough understanding of FTC regulations and all other legal guidelines in the Influencer space
Preferred Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or social media management
