ABOUT US
Distilled Hair Co. and Distilled Luxe Boutique are two distinct but connected brands under one roof — a luxury, education-driven salon and a trend-forward boutique. We are entering a major growth and refinement phase and are looking for a Marketing & Brand Growth Manager to take ownership of our marketing strategy and execution across both businesses.
This is not a social media assistant role. This role requires initiative, strategic thinking, and the ability to execute.
Role Overview
The Marketing & Brand Growth Manager is responsible for owning and growing the marketing function across both businesses. This role creates and executes marketing strategy, oversees campaigns, manages external marketing partners, coordinates internal content resources, and ensures brand consistency and visibility that supports bookings, sales, and long-term growth.
You will work closely with ownership and the Director of Operations, but you are expected to bring plans forward, not wait for direction.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy & Planning (Primary Ownership)
- Create and execute monthly and quarterly marketing plans
- Translate business goals into actionable marketing initiatives
- Identify gaps, opportunities, and growth areas proactively
- Plan campaigns aligned with:
- -salon bookings
- -boutique sales
- -launches
- -seasonality
- Drive marketing forward without requiring daily oversight
Campaign Ownership & Execution
- Own marketing campaigns from idea → execution → review
- Define campaign goals, timelines, deliverables, and content needs
- Ensure campaigns are launched on time and executed properly
- Monitor performance and adjust as needed
Oversight of Outsourced Salon Social Media
- Act as the main point of contact for the salon’s social media management company
- Ensure the agency receives clear direction and correct content
- Review output for quality, brand alignment, and effectiveness
- Coordinate with internal content creators to meet agency needs
- Oversee and direct the boutique social media, as well as delegate daily and weekly tasks and posting.
Content Direction & Internal Coordination
- Direct content needs for both salon and boutique
- Coordinate with:
- -in-house content creator
- -boutique staff
- -external vendors
- Create shot lists and content requirements
- Ensure content is captured intentionally and on schedule
Network Marketing & Partnerships
- Build and manage local partnerships and collaborations
- Execute outreach to businesses, influencers, and community partners
- Create value-driven collaborations that support brand growth
Brand Standards & Quality Control
- Maintain brand consistency and luxury standards across all marketing
- Ensure messaging, visuals, and presentation align with brand expectations
- Catch and correct issues before content goes live
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
- Not a content-only role
- Not a passive social media scheduler
- Not an assistant position
QUALIFICATIONS
- Marketing degree or equivalent real-world experience
- Proven ability to manage marketing independently
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Comfortable overseeing vendors and collaborators
- High standards for brand quality and execution
- Experience with content planning, campaigns, and partnerships
- Ability to work on-site during weekday business hours or as needed outside of business hours to promote growth.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
