Social Media Marketing is a critical component to our brand strategies and keeps our brands relevant and top of mind for consumers. The Assistant Manager, Community & Content Bio Ionic & Ouidad is responsible for executing day to day on social media, community management & has a heavy focus on social content creation. This role is responsible for constantly engaging with consumers, influencers and other brands on social, building communities & strengthening brand loyalty. Reporting to the Manager, Social Media, this role is critical for executional day-to-day activities on social for Bio Ionic, Ouidad and the Ouidad Salon. The Social Team engages with multiple functions, including PR/Influencer, Ecommerce/Performance Marketing, Customer/Sales and requires strong partnership & collaboration with Brand Marketing. This role requires flexibility for after hours and weekend work based on program needs.
Content Creation (50%)
· Concept, film & edit photo & video content to fuel organic feeds, possible use in paid social
· Create, design & modify assets using Canva for quick, on-trend content creation
· Execute briefs for content creation, project manage & route for review & alignment
· Write compelling social captions, optimizing for GEO
· Manage assets & distribute to internal & external teams as needed
· Attend PR/Influencers events, photoshoots, activations to capture social-first content
· Identify social trends & quickly action to create content within 24 hours
· Support content performance analysis, adjust for ongoing content creation
· Must be comfortable speaking on camera and being featured in content regularly
Community Engagement (40%)
· Daily community management – reactive & proactive – across all key platforms
· Engaging with influencers on social, coordinating with Influencer/PR to send products
· Surprise & delights with consumers for product opportunities
· Searching keywords, terms, brand name, tags and engaging ongoing with all UGC
· Community management on paid social media advertisements thru social tech integration
· Discovery of creators, artists, and other partners to develop unique content for social
· Managing day to day asset creation, modification, edits, reviews and approval process
· Accepting collaboration posts, partnering with Influencer/PR Lead for coordination
· Must be comfortable speaking on camera and being featured in content regularly
Social Media Platforms (5%)
· Daily scheduling & posting on all social platforms
· Execution of social media giveaways
· Supporting social calendar updates
· Support social media performance analytics, pulling data & support analysis
TikTok Shop (5%)
· Coordinate sending product for paid TTS affiliate partners
· Engage with TTS affiliate content, identify partners for possible owned content creation
· Attend TTS Affiliate events & networking moments with creators
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Extensive knowledge of major social media platforms and technologies
· Experience with TikTok Shop programming & affiliate management
· Knowledge & experience using social & influencer management technology platforms
· Content Creation, copywriting, video & photo editing and graphic design skills. Proficiency with
Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CapCut, etc.
· Early adopter of new and emerging social media platforms
· Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
· Beauty/hair care and multi-brand portfolio experience preferred.
· Familiarity with social reporting tools like Dash Hudson, Microsoft Suite
Education/ Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business, or other relevant field
· Min. 1 year of professional social media experience
· Expertise required across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest.
· This role is NYC-based with a hybrid schedule of both in-office and remote workdays. Must be
available to be in NYC three days/week.
