Position Overview
LaMar’s Donuts & Coffee is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead brand strategy, demand generation, public relations, and franchise marketing across our corporate and franchised locations.
This role is ideal for a food-obsessed marketing executive who has led marketing, preferably for a donut shop, bakery, bagel brand, coffee company, or gourmet / fine-dining concept, and who brings both strategic discipline and authentic culinary passion.
The CMO will be a senior executive partner to the CEO and leadership team and will also serve as a public-facing brand ambassador, including appearances on television, radio, podcasts, and live events.
What You’ll Do
Brand & Growth Leadership
- Lead and evolve LaMar’s national brand strategy, positioning, and voice
- Differentiate LaMar’s in a highly competitive bakery and coffee marketplace
- Ensure brand consistency across stores, menus, packaging, digital, and advertising
Food-First Marketing
- Translate artisan, madefromscratch food and beverage craftsmanship into compelling consumer storytelling
- Collaborate closely with culinary, bakery, and beverage leaders on product launches and seasonal offerings
- Champion quality, ingredients, and authenticity in all marketing efforts
Demand Generation & Performance
- Oversee digital, local, and national marketing campaigns that drive traffic and sales
- Balance brandbuilding with performance marketing and measurable ROI
- Guide influencer, creator, and community engagement strategies
Media, PR & Public Presence
- Serve as a polished, credible spokesperson for the brand on TV, radio, and digital media
- Support public relations, crisis communications, and brand reputation management
- Represent LaMar’s with warmth, professionalism, and confidence
Franchise Marketing Support
- Develop scalable marketing tools, campaigns, and guidelines for franchise partners
- Partner with franchisees to support local marketing while protecting brand standards
- Drive systemwide samestore sales growth
Executive Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a highperforming marketing team
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with operations, finance, culinary, and franchise leadership
- Present marketing strategies and results to executive leadership and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of senior marketing experience in food, beverage, hospitality, or restaurant brands
- Prior CMO experience or equivalent senior leadership responsibility strongly required
- Preferred Experience with donuts, bakeries, coffee, bagels, gourmet, or artisan food concepts, fine dining experience
- Demonstrated success growing brand awareness and sales in competitive markets
- Comfort with public speaking, media interviews, and oncamera appearances

- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience supporting franchised or multiunit restaurant systems
Compensation & Benefits (Colorado Pay Transparency)
- Base Salary Range: $250,000 $400,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, historical and verifiable prior compensation
- Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO and holiday pay
