Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and innovative Marketing and Social Media Lead to spearhead our brand’s digital presence and marketing strategies. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to craft compelling content, manage social media platforms, and develop impactful on-and offline campaigns that resonate with our target audiences. As a key driver of our marketing efforts, you will harness your expertise in digital marketing, branding, and analytics to elevate our brand visibility and engagement across multiple channels. Your creativity and strategic mindset will inspire audiences, foster relationships, and contribute significantly to our growth trajectory.
Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with the market team, the ideal candidate will develop and execute a content and promotional strategy that reflects the unique energy of Grand Bazaar NYC while meeting our business goals. While remote, this job will require presence at our weekend and special events.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate on and offline promotional campaigns to drive foot traffic to weekly themed events in partnership with the executive director and market team
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and others to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Manage daily social media operations using best practice tools, scheduling posts, monitoring conversations, and analyzing performance metrics
- Oversee email marketing campaigns, including newsletters and announcements
- Create engaging multimedia content including graphics, videos, photography, and written posts utilizing Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Conduct social listening to monitor brand reputation, industry trends, and competitor activities; leverage insights to refine marketing tactics and manage brand reputation.
- Plan and oversee paid advertising campaign strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent branding across all digital channels; support public relations initiatives through strategic communication efforts.
- Perform keyword research for SEO optimization of website content; implement best practices for search engine visibility.
- Manage relationships with influencers, partners, and media outlets to enhance brand positioning through effective relationship management strategies.
- Track campaign performance through detailed reports; analyze data to optimize future marketing initiatives for maximum impact.
- Actively engage with the market team, vendor community, and customers
- Provide project management and execute admin tasks related to the role, including event support and other special projects
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing communications, public relations, and/or social media management, preferably in event, retail, nonprofit, or small business marketing
- Proven experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, or related roles with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Suite tools for graphic design and content creation.
- Familiarity with social media management platforms such as Hootsuite or Buffer; experience with Facebook Advertising is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research techniques, web analytics (Google Analytics), and e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with keen proofreading abilities; adept at crafting compelling messages tailored to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of video editing software and photography skills are a plus for creating engaging visual content.
- Ability to analyze data insights from Google Analytics or similar tools to inform strategy adjustments.
- Experience in relationship management within the digital space; ability to build partnerships that support brand growth.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required
- Exceptional copywriting, design skills, and an eye for good photography
