About the job

Job Overview:

Bucked Up exists to help people show up stronger — with more confidence, more energy, and more edge — when it matters. We build performance nutrition that works, tell the truth about what’s inside it, and have fun bringing it all to life.

Founded in Utah, Bucked Up has grown from a single pre-workout into a performance nutrition brand spanning energy, hydration, and active lifestyle categories, backed by a passionate community that values results over hype. We take performance seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Our culture rewards ownership, speed, and accountability. We move fast, push boundaries, expect opinions backed by data, and believe the best brands are built by people who work hard, think creatively, and aren’t afraid to stand out.

We are looking for a  PR Manager  who will play a critical role in executing Bucked Up’s earned media, external communications, and experiential PR efforts. This position partners closely with Brand, Content, Social, Field Marketing, and Experiential teams to ensure Bucked Up’s story shows up consistently, confidently, and credibly across media, influencers, and live brand moments.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designed for a PR professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to help build brand fame, cultural relevance, and trust through smart storytelling and earned exposure.

The role is based at Bucked Up’s Content House in Lindon, UT. This is an in-person role and anticipated 10–15% travel.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the development and execution of Bucked Up’s PR and earned media strategy aligned with brand priorities and campaign calendars
  • Pitch stories, products, partnerships, and brand moments to national, trade, lifestyle, fitness, and digital media outlets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, editors, creators, and podcast hosts
  • Manage press outreach around product launches, athlete partnerships, collaborations, and seasonal moments
  • Develop and maintain press materials including press releases, media kits, fact sheets, and talking points
  • Support planning and execution of press-facing experiential events including expos, pop-ups, athlete appearances, and brand activations
  • Coordinate on-site media engagement at events and work with Field Marketing teams to turn activations into earned-media moments
  • Partner with influencer and athlete teams to support earned and organic influencer coverage
  • Brief influencers and ambassadors on key messages, launches, and brand priorities
  • Monitor media coverage, influencer content, and cultural trends to identify opportunities and risks
  • Track and report earned media KPIs including impressions, reach, sentiment, engagement, and share of voice
  • Support post-campaign and post-event recaps with clear performance insights and learnings
  • Coordinate closely with Brand, Content, Social, and Creative teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across channels
  • Support agency partners as needed with briefs, timelines, and deliverables
  • Assist with reputation management and rapid-response communications when needed

What You Will Receive

  • Base Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 (depending on experience)
  • Annual bonus potential tied to PR, campaign, and brand performance
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO, family leave, and professional development opportunities

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • 2–5 years of PR or communications experience, ideally in CPG, fitness, or lifestyle brands
  • Hands-on experience supporting experiential events, activations, or brand moments
  • Proven ability to secure earned coverage and build strong media and influencer relationships
  • Strong writing skills across press releases, pitches, and messaging documents
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple fast-moving priorities
  • Strategic thinker with an executional mindset — you know how to make things happen
  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for fitness, performance, or lifestyle brands is a plus
