About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, operationally minded Program Director to lead
Maude’s Ventures
, an initiative of the Foundation that provides seed funding for innovations in dementia care.
The Program Director will source, evaluate, and launch scalable ventures that meaningfully improve the lives of people with dementia and their caregivers. This role oversees the full program lifecycle, including managing the $100,000+ grant fund, stewarding funded ventures, and cultivating the Maude’s Ventures community.
In addition, the Program Director will represent Maude’s Ventures as a vital collaborator at the
Memory Hub
, alongside a group of mission-aligned organizations that serve people living with dementia and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Application Cycle and Selection
- Lead the annual application cycle from start to finish, including calendar, goals, and success metrics.
- Build and manage Maude’s Team selection committee, identifying and onboarding key experts and stakeholders.
- Develop and use a clear scorecard to support consistent, high-quality evaluation
- Manage a multi-stage review process, from initial screening through finalist selection.
- Facilitate final awards of up to $100,000 to one or two high-impact, scalable initiatives.
- Oversee the Young Founders Program, including outreach, application review, and selection of youth grantees receiving $5,000 awards.
Manage Promotion and Outreach
- Manage a $25,000 promotional budget to draw a strong applicant pool.
- Plan and execute email, social, and influencer outreach to expand the program's virtual footprint / audience.
- Maintain and update Maude’s Ventures website.
- Build relationships with leaders and partners to expand the program’s reach and credibility.
Support and Steward Portfolio
- Serve as the primary point of contact for current and past Maude’s Ventures recipients.
- Provide guidance and support to help funded initiatives scale and meet their goal.
- Track outcomes and develop case studies that demonstrate long-term impact and return on investment.
Participate as a Memory Hub Partner
- Collaborate with other Memory Hub partner organizations, serve as an engaged partner, and participate in shared initiatives / events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Three or more years of experience in program management, grants management, or a related role preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from concept through execution
- Strong collaborative instincts
- High level of ownership, follow-through, and creativity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort evaluating proposals and making judgment calls grounded in impact / mission
- Experience with marketing, communications, or outreach campaigns is a plus
- Familiarity with healthcare, innovation, or dementia related work is helpful but not required
- Alignment with the mission and values of the Ferry Foundations, including a commitment to improving the quality of life for vulnerable populations.
