Job Summary:

ASCP/AHP is seeking a creative, trend-savvy Social Media Manager to own and elevate its cosmetology social presence across platforms. You’ll be responsible for building community, increasing brand visibility, driving organic growth, and shaping how both ASCP and AHP show up for beauty professionals.

You’ll partner closely with the Vice President of Cosmetology and Marketing, and the Senior Content Marketing Manager to deliver strong brand storytelling, membership growth, and social-first campaigns. This role is all about creating engaging content, connecting authentically with beauty pros, and using data to grow our brands.

This position is salaried, full-time, and exempt from overtime, reporting to the Senior Content Marketing Manager, with no direct reports.

PAC is situated in the foothills west of Golden, Colorado, in the Genesee area. We have a beautiful view of the

Core Responsibilities:

Social Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy for ASCP and AHP’s channels, aligned with growth, engagement, and membership goals.
  • Identify cross-over opportunities for multi-licensed professionals.
  • Fully own the content calendar—ideate, write, design, publish, and optimize content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Build a strong, active community by responding to comments and DMs, surfacing member stories, and engaging with stylists, barbers, estheticians, and industry accounts.
  • Engage in social listening to help boost audience understanding and trust.
  • Actively manage community interactions to maintain a positive, brand-aligned presence and escalate audience concerns when needed.

Influencer & UGC Program

  • Identify, recruit, and nurture relationships with educators, creators, and brands.
  • Source, curate, and repurpose UGC.
  • Manage small, boosted post budgets.

Analytics & Growth

  • Partner with the data analyst to define goals, interpret performance metrics, and measure impact across channels.
  • Use insights, experiments, A/B testing, and platform trends to improve metrics.
  • Build monthly reporting that clearly communicates learnings.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with design, comms, marketing, and education teams to amplify campaigns, summits, launches, and community initiatives across ASCP and AHP brands.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to support integrated campaigns where social plays a role.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Monitor emerging trends in the beauty industry, platform algorithms, aesthetics, and creator culture.
  • Travel occasionally for trade shows, events, and on-site content capture.
  • Make an estimated 30 expired member outreach calls per week to help members renew their membership

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and grow with the role.
  • Fluency across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn (TikTok a plus).
  • Strong copywriting and visual communication skills with the ability to produce social-first creative.
  • Understanding of UGC, creator partnerships, and influencer marketing.
  • Ability to track and interpret social analytics to inform decisions.
  • Comfortable moving between strategy, content creation, and hands-on execution.
  • Proficiency with social scheduling tools (Later and Sprout Social preferred).
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage competing priorities.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to be a collaborative team player with a willingness to shift from high-level critical thinking to the necessary tasks required to complete the job.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a social media or content creation role.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and produce social content (reels, TikToks, carousels, graphics).
  • Ability to efficiently design on-brand assets in Canva.
  • Passion for supporting creative entrepreneurs and beauty professionals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to project manage multiple channels simultaneously

For this salaried, exempt position, the compensation range is $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
