Bilingual (Japanese) E-commerce Manager

Summary

The company is a growing California-based e-commerce company that imports and distributes high-quality Japanese products, ranging from esports gear to industrial materials. We are seeking a versatile professional to join as one of our earliest full-time members. Reporting directly to the founder, you will play a critical role in scaling the business by managing end-to-end e-commerce operations, digital marketing, and creative content production in a hands-on startup environment.

Essential Duties

Operations & Fulfillment: Manage daily order fulfillment, packing, and shipping; handle English-language customer service; and oversee inventory tracking and warehouse workflow improvements.

Marketing & Content Creation: Plan and execute social media strategies (Instagram, TikTok); produce visual content and short-form videos; assist with product photography and influencer outreach.

Listing Management: Create and optimize product listings on Shopify and Amazon Seller Central, ensuring high-quality titles, descriptions, and imagery.

Business Support: Support new product launches and collaborate with the founder on strategic projects and service improvements.

Working Hours, Working style

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Standard daytime hours).

Style: 100% On-site (In-person) at the Costa Mesa office/warehouse.

Environment: Fast-paced startup requiring a balance between administrative office tasks and physical warehouse operations (packing/shipping).

Salary/Benefit

Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 per year (DOE).

Qualifications

Required:

Native-level Japanese and Business-level English fluency.

1+ year of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or business development.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship provided).

Ability to perform physical warehouse tasks (fulfillment and packing) alongside computer work.

Preferred:

Proficiency with Shopify or Amazon Seller Central.

Experience in SNS management or content creation (Canva/Photoshop skills are a plus).

A proactive "startup mindset" with the ability to multitask in a small team.
