Role Overview
As the
Marketing Director
, you will be the strategic leader behind Elevate’s marketing efforts, ensuring our brand stands out in a competitive market. You’ll oversee everything from brand positioning and client education to reputation management and digital marketing. Your work will directly contribute to rebuilding our reputation, attracting premium clients, and delivering on our mission to create incredible experiences and forever memories. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Elevate’s overall marketing strategy to drive growth, brand differentiation, and client acquisition across multiple markets.
- Manage
Brand Strategy and Positioning
, ensuring consistent messaging, visuals, and tone that reflect our mission of transcendence and community impact.
- Lead
Client Education and Value Communication
through targeted campaigns, educational content, and sales enablement tools to help clients understand the premium value of our services.
- Oversee
Digital Marketing and Online Presence
, including:
- Managing SEO/SEM to improve visibility for key search terms (e.g., “Springfield MO wedding DJ”).
- Running PPC campaigns (e.g., Google Ads) to target high-intent clients.
- Optimizing the website for user experience, mobile responsiveness, and conversion.
- Handle
Reputation Management
, crafting public statements and proactively managing brand perception to build trust and address challenges.
- Collaborate with leadership on
Influencer and Partnership Marketing
to strengthen relationships with wedding planners, venues, and industry leaders.
- Optimize
Customer Journey Mapping and Personalization
, ensuring a seamless, premium experience from discovery to booking.
- Supervise
Client Relationship Management (CRM) and Retention
efforts, including email marketing, referral programs, and post-event follow-ups, supported by the sales and customer service teams.
- Monitor marketing performance through data analytics, adjusting strategies to maximize ROI and client acquisition.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Proven experience in marketing strategy, brand management, and reputation management, with a track record of rebuilding or enhancing brand perception.
- Strong background in crafting public statements, managing crises, and proactively shaping brand narratives.
- Expertise in digital marketing, including:
- WordPress
for website management and content updates.
- Google Ads
and
SEO/SEM
for driving traffic and optimizing search performance.
- Google Workspace
for team collaboration and productivity.
- Email creation and automation
tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot) for nurturing leads and retaining clients.
- Motion
for creating engaging video and animation content (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of
Canva
and
Adobe
tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator), though advanced design skills are not critical as we have a dedicated designer on staff.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple projects.
- A strategic mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Bonus Skills:
- Skilled in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper) for strategic marketing development, campaign ideation, or automation workflows.
- Familiarity with

Compensation
- Salary Range:
$75,000 - $85,000
- Includes performance-based incentives tied to key marketing outcomes, such as client acquisition and brand reputation improvement.
