About the Role:
Dorai Home is looking for a Director of Marketing to accelerate growth and deepen customer loyalty. This role owns our end-to-end eCommerce marketing strategy, calendar, promotional programming, and execution, with a heavy focus on performance, measurement, and continual optimization.
You will lead a team of full-time creatives and contract partners (including agencies), manage the marketing budget, and build a roadmap that expands our digital marketing engine across channels. Marketing analytics is central to this role. You will be expected to test, measure, learn quickly, and double down on what drives revenue.
We are a small startup. We move fast, we iterate often, and we take ownership. The right person for this role is a problem-solver who is highly analytical and creative, with a strong eye for clean, minimalist design. Dorai was born from good design, and our marketing should reflect that in every touchpoint.
This role requires experience in eCommerce DTC marketing and a background in performance marketing. You will drive our ads strategy across key channels, including our Shopify site and Amazon, and oversee several agency partners to ensure strong execution and results. This role is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in our Salt Lake City-based office and the remainder remote.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Dorai’s comprehensive eCommerce marketing strategy, with a focus on growth and loyalty
- Lead integrated campaigns across the full funnel, from awareness through retention and advocacy
- Manage and optimize email, paid advertising, loyalty program, CRO, site optimization, promotional strategy, PR, SEO, and channel expansion
- Own the marketing budget and maintain or exceed established ROAS goals
- Partner with agencies and contractors across paid, SEO, email/SMS, influencer, and creative, ensuring benchmark performance and ongoing optimization
- Build on existing marketing processes and introduce new workflows as needed
- Own a comprehensive marketing calendar covering promotions, product launches, brand moments, and social opportunities/collaborations
- Collaborate with social to source strong UGC for campaigns and performance creative
- Report on KPIs and insights with clarity, using data to inform pivots and identify opportunities
- Create briefs, assign work, and track projects in Asana for cross-team visibility
- Oversee marketing operations within Shopify, working with internal designers and developers on new products, collection merchandising, and troubleshooting
- Act as both player and coach: execute key areas directly while leading, developing, and supporting the team
Qualifications
- 7+ years of eCommerce marketing (DTC preferred) or related experience
- Strong performance marketing and advertising leadership, including budget ownership and ROAS accountability
- Proven ability to build, execute, and optimize an aggressive growth strategy across channels
- Deep comfort with analytics and testing, with the ability to translate data into clear decisions
- Experience leading teams and managing agency partners effectively
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Shopify, and Asana
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as Triple Whale (or similar)
- Customer-obsessed, with a strong point of view on brand and creative quality
- Amazon experience and Seller Central familiarity are a bonus
- A track record of scaling eCommerce revenue is required
