Job Summary
A social media creator develops, implements, and manages a brand's social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement. Key responsibilities include creating and curating content, managing multiple social media accounts, engaging with users, and analyzing data to measure campaign success and informing future strategies. They also monitor trends, collaborate with other departments, and handle community management.
Key Performance Elements and Essential Functions
- Strategy development: Create and implement social media strategies that align with business goals, including defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and target audiences.
- Content creation and management: Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content (text, images, video) daily across various platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok. Develop and maintain editorial calendars.
- Community management: Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments and messages in a timely manner, and foster community discussion.
- Performance analysis: Track, analyze, and report on social media metrics and campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and other social media platforms' built-in analytics. Use data to make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams (marketing, sales, product development) to ensure brand consistency and support broader marketing initiatives.
- Trend monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, technologies, and trends to ensure the brand's strategy remains effective.
- Relationship building: Connect with industry professionals and influencers to build the brand's network.
- Works as an hourly employee at the Water Street Gift Shop assisting with sales and customer communication.
- Complete other job duties as assigned by the Marketing Director.

Physical Requirements* Is able to lift and carry 30-50 pounds several times per shift.
- Has sufficient mobility to move and/or operate in work area.
- Is able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours at a time.
Additional Information* Must meet any federal, state, county, or municipal regulations pertaining to the service of food and beverages.
- Extreme environmental demands on team members are few. The majority of work takes place indoors, in climate-controlled areas. At times restaurant areas can become quite warm.
- The only chemicals involved are those for cleaning. Training is given for their appropriate use.
