Social Media & Marketing Coordinator (Part-Time)

Hours: 10-15 hours per week
Pay: $20–25/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Hybrid (includes limited in store content capture)

Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail oriented Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to support content creation, digital marketing, and promotional efforts for a retail business. This part time role is ideal for someone who enjoys short form video, understands how social media supports sales, and is comfortable tracking performance and results.

This role includes periodic in store time to capture authentic content and collaborate with the merchandising team.

Time Commitment

  • 8–10 hours per week
  • In-store content capture requirement:
  • 2 hours once per week

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Create and publish 1–2 short-form video reels per week
  • Post content to Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Capture in store content including product features, merchandising, promotions, and behind the scenes footage
  • Develop educational content that supports selling and customer engagement
  • Promote sales, events, and special campaigns

Paid Marketing & Performance Tracking

  • Boost posts and manage basic paid social campaigns
  • Monitor and track return on investment (ROI) for ads
  • Use performance data to refine content and marketing strategies

Email & Text Marketing

  • Create and schedule text and email marketing campaigns
  • Write and distribute newsletters aligned with promotions and marketing goals

Influencer & Affiliate Marketing

  • Assist with managing an influencer and affiliate program
  • Coordinate promotions and content with brand partners

Collaboration & Communication

  • Communicate regularly with the merchandising team to align marketing with inventory and priorities
  • Coordinate with internal team members to support overall marketing initiatives

Qualifications

  • Experience managing social media for a brand or small business
  • Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok, especially short form video
  • Comfortable capturing content in a retail environment
  • Familiarity with paid social ads and performance tracking
  • Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Strong written and visual communication skills
