Role Overview

Phoenix Up Creators is seeking an experienced Contract Social Media Manager to support both organic and paid social media efforts across client accounts. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on social media professional who can manage content planning, posting, and optimization while collaborating closely on campaign strategy.

This is a contract role with flexible and varying hours. While the position is remote, must reside in the North Dallas area to support local clients and potential in-person needs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Contribute to social media strategy development aligned to brand and campaign goals
  • Translate high-level objectives into clear content plans and posting schedules
  • Support campaign planning for organic and paid social activations

Content & Posting Management

  • Manage posting for organic social channels using your own management tool
  • Schedule, publish, and optimize content using your own management tool
  • Ensure posts follow platform best practices, brand voice, and creative guidelines

Paid Social Support

  • Support paid social execution (boosting, ad setup, optimization) as needed
  • Collaborate on audience targeting, creative testing, and performance insights

Reporting & Optimization

  • Monitor performance across platforms and flag trends, wins, and opportunities
  • Provide clear, concise performance summaries and insights
  • Use data to inform ongoing optimization of content and posting cadence

Requirements

  • Reside in North Dallas area or willing to commute as needed
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing social media for brands or clients
  • Proven experience across both organic and paid social media
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices and trends
  • Must have your own social media management tool (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Later, Sprinklr, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines independently
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail

  • Links or screenshots demonstrating content performance, engagement, or growth
  • Brief explanation of their role in strategy, posting, and optimization

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with influencers or creator-led content
  • Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools
  • Experience supporting local or regional brands
