About Starform + Metalstorm
Starform builds competitive, player-first games. Metalstorm is our modern air-combat title with fast sessions, squad play, and a passionate community. We’re a small, high-ownership team that moves quickly and focuses on impact.
This is a hands-on creator + strategist role. You will own Metalstorm’s organic social strategy and execution—building a consistent, high-quality content engine that increases share of voice with current players and expands reach to new players, driving measurable growth in organic downloads and community engagement. You’ll plan, create, publish, test, learn, and scale what works.
Responsibilities
- Build and run an always-on social strategy across X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube (long + Shorts), TikTok, Reddit, and Facebook.
- Create monthly/weekly content plans, one-offs and regular series, tied to studio priorities: updates, events, tournaments, new planes, balance changes, squad moments, etc.
- Establish Metalstorm’s brand voice: competitive, hype, authentic, and player-respectful.
- Produce high-velocity content: short-form video, memes, clips, motion-light edits, image posts, and simple announcements.
- Partner with internal teammates (design, community, UA, art) to translate updates into content that travels.
- Increase engagement with existing players: replies, quote-posts, community prompts, player highlights, UGC campaigns, and squad spotlights.
- Treat social like product: hypotheses → tests → learnings → iteration. Start small, scale winners, and prioritize the highest impact work for growth.
- Track and regularly report insights on performance on metrics (ex: organic installs, share of voice, follower growth, content performance, and community health)
Requirements
- 3+ years owning social media for a consumer product (gaming strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to create content: short-form editing + basic design. A portfolio of work included in your application is highly preferred.
- Fluency in platform mechanics (hooks, pacing, trends, thumbnail/title basics, community dynamics).
- Strong analytical instincts: you use metrics to make decisions and iterate fast.
- Excellent writing and taste: you know what’s worth posting—and what isn’t.
- You act like an owner: extremely proactive, high standards, transparent communication, and take accountability for outcomes.
- You put players first and protect long-term trust.
- You thrive in candid, collaborative teams and commit once a decision is made.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with competitive games, live ops, or esports/tournament coverage.
- Creator/influencer outreach experience (micro-creators, clip licensing, UGC programs).
- Comfort capturing gameplay, directing clips, and coaching others to generate better footage.
- Familiarity with tools like Premiere/After Effects/CapCut, Photoshop, Canva, etc.
