TikTok Trust & Safety / Account Health Consultant (Contract)

Role Overview

This is a remote, contract-based role focused exclusively on TikTok account health, trust signals, and risk mitigation .

This role is not social media management, influencer marketing, or content creation.

You will be responsible for ensuring that guideline-compliant content does not get flagged, suppressed, or silently deprioritized , and for rebuilding trust when enforcement errors occur.

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess TikTok account health, trust signals, and suppression indicators
• Identify causes of:
• silent suppression
• reduced FYP distribution
• repeated false or soft flags
• Pre-screen content prior to posting to minimize misclassification risk
• Reframe captions, on-screen text, pacing, hashtags, and framing to align with TikTok Trust & Safety enforcement behavior
• Develop and execute trust-recovery strategies following enforcement actions
• Advise on posting cadence, cool-down cycles, and reset strategies after trust hits
• Track performance anomalies related to enforcement rather than engagement quality
• Guide appeal strategy when appropriate (and advise when not to appeal)

Required Experience

You must have direct experience with at least one of the following:

• TikTok Trust & Safety or Policy Operations
• Platform risk, integrity, or compliance operations
• Creator or agency-side work involving sensitive or borderline content
• Account health recovery following suppression or repeated enforcement

Experience with high-risk or nuanced niches (education, psychology, power dynamics, critique, public commentary, or sensitive social topics) is strongly preferred.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Deep understanding of TikTok Community Guidelines and enforcement behavior beyond the written rules
• Ability to distinguish:
• hard violations vs soft enforcement
• shadow suppression vs distribution throttling
• Strong analytical skills related to platform signals and behavioral enforcement patterns
• Clear written communication and documentation
• Comfort working independently as a trusted advisor

What This Role Is NOT

• Not influencer management
• Not content creation
• Not trend or virality optimization
• Not community moderation for users

If your background is primarily in “growth hacking” or trend chasing, this role will not be a fit.

Contract Structure

• Remote, independent contractor
• Monthly retainer
• Initial 30–90 day engagement with extension potential
• Compensation commensurate with experience in platform trust & safety operations
