The Opportunity:

Liquid Media is a boutique creative marketing agency that builds brands through culture, creators, and community. We deliver measurable results across strategy, content, and influencer marketing for partners spanning gaming, sports, entertainment, and culture.

The Account Director will oversee key partnerships, own client relationships, help shape strategic plans, and execute integrated campaigns. The role blends high-touch client service with strategic, creative, and operational accountability, guiding cross-functional teams, managing budgets and OKRs, and fostering cross-functional coordination that drives growth.

Candidates should bring deep knowledge of gaming and community culture, fluency across strategy, social, influencer, and production, and the ability to move seamlessly between strategic planning and hands-on execution.

Location: Los Angeles, CA or US Remote

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Client Relationship & Account Management

    • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring strategic, operational, and creative alignment.
    • Navigate complex stakeholder environments with confidence, creating clarity and knowing when to steer or escalate.
    • Cultivate long-term partnerships with senior stakeholders through consistent strategic value and transparent communication.

    Guide junior client POCs on agency best practices and process to ensure efficient delivery.

    • Manage renewals and identify upsell opportunities that deepen partnerships and expand agency scope.
  • Strategy & Campaign Oversight

    • Oversee the development and execution of integrated social and creative marketing strategies, including production and campaign activations that authentically engage gaming communities.
    • Oversee the translation of brand and IP goals into data-informed programs across social, community, influencer, creator, and experiential channels.
    • Partner with strategy, creative, production, and operations teams to ensure deliverables are insight-focused, culturally relevant, and aligned with brand and business goals.
    • Define and report on OKRs, KPIs, and performance insights for senior stakeholders, clearly communicating creative impact and measurable ROI.
  • Project Management & Operational Excellence

    • Oversee campaign delivery across budgets, timelines, and contracts.
    • Anticipate risks, resolve blockers, and hold teams accountable.
    • Establish clear workflows that enable smooth internal and external coordination.
    • Maintain strong operational discipline while creating space for creative innovation.
  • Business Growth & Account Ownership

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities using relationships and market insight.
    • Represent Liquid Media as a strategic partner in client and industry settings.
    • Mentor team members and foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
    • Work across teams to remove silos and strengthen information flow.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, project management, or client services within a creative or integrated marketing agency.
  • Strong point of view on strategy and creative, with the ability to assess work, guide teams, and speak clearly to clients.
  • Stays informed on gaming, social, and creator trends and uses that insight to shape recommendations and opportunities.
  • Experience working with major game publishers or platform partners is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Approaches multiple priorities with calm, curiosity, and a focus on practical solutions.
  • Clear communicator who can navigate complex or high-stakes conversations with professional judgement and clarity.
  • Proficient in business development, contract negotiation, and financial tracking.
  • Cross-functional team contributor who thrives in cross-functional environments and proactively fills gaps.

Salary Range (U.S.-based role):

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000 – $120,000 USD.

Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, education, internal equity, and geographic location, where applicable and permitted by law.
