We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Marketing to lead the execution of the company’s marketing strategy and oversee all advertising, communications, and marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for driving brand awareness, demand generation, dealer channel marketing, and sales enablement across the organization. The Director of Marketing works closely with executive leadership, field sales, dealer principals, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and consistent brand positioning.

This position is based on-site at our Schaumburg, Illinois headquarters and requires strong cross-functional leadership, hands-on execution, and deep industry knowledge.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute and support strategic marketing plans aligned with corporate objectives, revenue growth, and market share expansion.
  • Lead all marketing communications, advertising, and promotional initiatives across print, digital, events, and dealer channels.
  • Manage and develop the marketing team, including the Marketing Coordinator, and collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Oversee the marketing budget and ensure effective use of resources and spend.
  • Maintain consistent brand identity across all products, communications, and promotional materials.
  • Manage relationships with advertising agencies, media partners, industry associations, and vendors, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
  • Plan and execute trade shows, dealer meetings, open houses, sales meetings, and customer events.
  • Lead dealer channel marketing efforts and maintain regular communication with the North American dealer network.
  • Manage go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches.
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance and campaign effectiveness; adjust strategy as needed.
  • Oversee lead fulfillment, customer database usage, and mailing list governance.
  • Manage sales enablement tools and materials for distributors and internal sales teams (e.g., Showpad).
  • Support digital marketing initiatives, including NASCAR and other influencer or sponsorship programs.
  • Oversee promotional merchandise programs and inventory management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Management, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the machine tool, manufacturing, or industrial sector.
  • Strong understanding of the machine tool industry and dealer-based sales channels.
  • Demonstrated experience leading integrated marketing programs and managing external agencies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Solid financial acumen, including budgeting and performance analysis.
  • Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset with the ability to operate strategically and tactically.

Work Experience

  • Min Five (5) years of experience with a combination of Business Analyst or Engineer in Manufacturing / Machine Tool industry (preferred) or related field.
  • Experience effectively defining requirements and value working with operational partners in solving business problems.
  • Experience building and presenting use/business cases
  • Demonstrated success creating and sustaining trusted-advisor relationships
