POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for the overall production, curation, and distribution of Roland DGA’s video content. The Video Content Manager will provide oversight of the company’s video education platform, Roland TV, collaborating with management, internal influencers, and creators to develop and execute on strategic videos to support Roland DGA’s content marketing strategy, as well as the customer experience and support strategies. In addition, the Video Content Manager will lead efforts to produce webinars, social video ads, product videos, events, and other video content. Success in this position requires the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders in various departments in the development of an overall video strategy, the capability of guiding video contractors to execute on key projects, as well as the skills and willingness to be an individual contributor to video content creation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Maintain Roland DGA’s video content platform to ensure the effective use of videos and an optimum user experience.
  • Oversee the delivery of video content across multiple channels, audiences, and purposes – collaborating with various departments, as well as internal and external production resources, to meet the needs of the business.
  • Manage production of all video content through agency, contract, internal creator, and individual contribution, ensuring content meets all brand standards for quality and communication, and meets budgetary requirements.
  • Develop social media video content to engage followers, build demand, and create awareness.
  • Work with manager to develop video content strategy, ensuring alignment with campaigns, events, and overall company objectives.
  • Familiarize yourself with and maintain an awareness of other content being used in marketing efforts and actively seek ways to repurpose content in video form.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with Roland DGA’s external video partners – agencies and contractors.
  • Collaborate with larger content marketing team to ensure a consistent visual style, messaging approach, and brand identity.
  • Align content with Roland DGA’s SEO strategy to generate a cohesive and targeted approach to content creation.
  • Ensure existing content remains up to date as new products, services, and applications are introduced – work with other creators to update as needed.
  • Develop first-hand knowledge of Roland DG technology – products and services, to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the production of all video content.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  • Annual Review, including peer feedback.
  • Engagement through video channels – including view counts, and CTR for links.
  • Successful completion of established video projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION:

  • A degree in film production or equivalent area of study is a PLUS but not required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A firm understanding and strong experience in video production is REQUIRED – scripting, shot listing, lighting, staging, cinematography, editing, and audio capture.
  • Experience working with video production teams, agencies, and contractors is REQUIRED.
  • Experience generating content for social media is HIGHLY DESIRED.
  • Experience with a video content management platform is HIGHLY DESIRED.
  • Experience with managing YouTube channels including uploading files, writing descriptions and creating thumbnails is a PLUS.
  • Experience in content marketing is a PLUS.
  • Understanding of motion graphics for social media ads is a PLUS.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong grasp of design, layout, color, and typography.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and other CC apps.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work well with a team and independently and have the discipline to manage time effectively.
  • Actively pursues continuous professional development.
  • Able to work with creative resources including outside vendors to accomplish goals and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and communication skills are necessary for success.
  • Project management skills are needed for this position.
  • Ability to achieve results within time and budgetary constraints.

SALARY RANGE: $68,000 - $79,000

PHYSICAL STRENGTH:

  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.) Ability to carry camera equipment, lights, stands, tripod, etc.

SCHEDULE:

  • Ability to work 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day M-F. Some travel required for trade shows and off site video recording.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. (Such as in a typical office.)

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

  • Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias.
  • Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
  • Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions and to make professional presentations.
