POSITION: Marketing Manager
DEPARTMENT: Sales & Marketing
JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution oversight, and performance reporting of all marketing efforts for the property and its outlets. This role owns marketing direction across the full marketing funnel—from awareness through loyalty—ensuring initiatives are intentional, measurable, brand-aligned, and revenue-driving. The Marketing Manager serves as the primary marketing leader on property and a strategic partner for operations, sales, and corporate marketing.

Reports to designated property leader with a dotted line to Corporate Marketing Team.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
The following job functions should contribute to the overall development of advertising campaigns, maximizing ROI, and maintaining strong public relations and brand image.
1. Strategy, Planning & Leadership:
- Lead strategy-driven marketing meetings to plan and prioritize tactics across the marketing funnel.
- Develop and manage annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with business objectives and brand standards.
- Manage the brand(s) marketing tracker with routine status updates, results, and pivots.
- Manage marketing budget and resources effectively, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness in all marketing activities.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
- Apply effective project management skills and processes to stay organized and on track with marketing tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
- Establish KPIs, Success Metrics and Report on overall marketing efforts routinely.
- Lead marketing reporting, analyze results, and adjust strategies based on performance.
- Lead property marketing meetings routinely.
- Communicate updates and project statuses routinely to property leader.
- Serve as point of contact for photo shoots.
- Serve as on-property brand ambassador ensuring all brand items are accurate and representable of brand guidelines.
2. Ideate guest experiences alongside the operations team.
- Attend local educational and networking events to increase knowledge, skills, and brand awareness.
- Serve on property leadership team.
- Own packages, offers, and gift card promotions designed to drive incremental revenue.
3. Public Relations, Partnerships & Community
- Lead public relations efforts including media support, broadcasts, accolades, and thought leadership opportunities.
- Cultivate influencer, brand, and community partnerships that increase awareness and brand value.
- Collaborate with CVBs, PR agencies, and corporate partners to amplify visibility.
- Cultivate and increase local partnerships through events, sponsorships, giveaways, etc.
- Leverage available brand affiliated marketing support resources.
4. Social Media:
- Lead social media strategy and approve social media content ensuring content follows brand standards.
5. Lead paid social media strategy and adhere to ad schedule, content and budget.
- Oversee social media giveaway strategy and results ensuring giveaways follow brand standards.
- Lead partnerships as it pertains to collaborating with influencers, brands, etc.
- Analyze social media KPIs and adjust content calendar as needed.
- Stay up to date on trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
6. Digital Marketing:
7. Lead paid social, local advertising, and digital advertising strategies (including OpenTable and Google campaigns).
- Maintain online digital presence through upkeep of imagery, business information, etc.
- Oversee brand.com (Marriott.com) and vanity website accuracy, positioning, and conversion support.
- Ensure digital platforms support awareness, consideration, and conversion goals.
- Respond to online reviews as needed.
- Lead reputation management strategy and guest recovery alignment.
- Partner with operations to ensure responses and resolutions reflect brand voice and values.
- Create and deploy newsletters routinely.
- Assist in distributing outlet menus online.
8. Conduct online audit routinely to ensure online information is up to date.
9. Local Marketing:
- Serve as marketing champion for on-site activations including the design and distribution of marketing material physically and digitally.
10. Manage process of design projects and implementation of on-site marketing touchpoints such as brand collateral and general marketing material.
11. All other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most work is done on-site at hotel or outlet(s) and there may be times when work may be conducted off-site when attending events related to job functions. Attendance at on-site activations is required.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: General Manager, Sales Managers, Front Desk Staff, Executive Chef, Restaurant Managers, Corporate Marketing Team, and Corporate Revenue Management Team
External: Community Partners, Vendor Support Staff, and Vendor Technical Support
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
1. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
2. 2-4 years in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or other field related experience.
3. Computer literate, comfortable with applications such as Outlook, Microsoft software, and design tools (such as Canva and Adobe applications).
4. 1-2 years in paid advertising experience.
5. 1-2 years in working with external partners (such as PR partners, CVBs, advertising partners, etc.).
6. Previous experience of managing business social media profiles.
7. Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
8. Previous experience with social media software such as Facebook Business Manager other social media dashboards.
9. Understands social media KPIs and application to overall strategy.
10. Displays knowledge and understanding of social media platforms relevant for industry, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.
11. Has creative eye for capturing quality photography/videos and ability to make minor edits.
12. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy, and can pick up new tools quickly.
13. Maintains exceptional communications skills that effectively communicates information and ideas through verbal, written, and visual format.
14. Takes ideas and sees them through. Follows directions thoroughly, multitasks well and practices superior time management.
15. Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead in content development, creation and editing of content, online reputation management, and capturing on-site activations.
16. Can easily and naturally promote brand advocacy through relationships, online and off.
17. Demonstrates winning social customer service techniques being a clear thinker, remaining calm, resolving problems using good judgment, empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.
18. Maintains personal social media profiles in a professional manner.
Desirable:
19. Previous experience in the hospitality industry.
20. Previous experience in public relations.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Essential:
While performing the duties of this job, the Marketing Manager is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. Generally, works in an office setting with minimal adverse exposure to environmental hazards.
