Social Media Manager and Content Creator

We are a bright, cozy café in the middle of the East Village serving coffee, sandwiches, salads, plates, and baked goods for almost 20 years.

We are currently seeking someone with proven experience in social media management to handle our online presence (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok). This will include a focus on posts/stories/reels, taking photos, and minor marketing and promotional duties.

We are a family-oriented establishment and strive to promote a positive, upbeat, and welcoming environment. We are hoping to hire a candidate who knows the East Village vibe and is able to show our personality on all of our platforms.

Responsibilities:

-Create engaging, visually appealing, and informative content (videos and reels, some photos) for various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok 2-4 times a week (negotiable).

- Respond to post/platform messages and inquiries, seek collaborations, influencers, and other methods to further increase viewership.
- Collaborate with staff to develop content strategies that align with business goals.

- Conduct research to gather relevant information and data for content creation.
- Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to increase visibility and drive organic traffic.
- Assist with other marketing initiatives as needed.

- Ad boosting & analytics review.

Specifications:

- Part-Time position, 10 hours per week, subject to change.

- This is a food establishment. Proof of Food Marketing Experience is a MUST. Please DO NOT apply if you do not have some kind of food marketing experience.

- Local applicants are preferred. We would like to find someone who understands the East Village vibe and can present that in the social media posts.
